It comes in capsules. I sprinkle it over their food once a day. I've been giving it to my yorkies for about 5 years.

| I don't see a problem with the cat capsules but they do contain extra ingredients for flavor (chicken and tuna). They are also only 100mg of glucosamine. The dog capsules are 250mg I think. If your dog isn't allergic to chicken and 100mg is enough, I'm not sure there is a reason not to go that way. I think we will be eliminating chicken from Ellie's diet and I like the higher dose, so we use the regular.

is on it too. My vet suggested I put him on it. I knew he had an early stage of luxating patella, just a little popping going on in his knees, but after his surgery he started doing the thing were one knee gets caught and he walks around with it up for a few seconds. The vet said that his luxating patella was probably aggravated during the surgery because of the way they tie them down (I couldn't stand hearing that) during the surgery. So she suggested I put him on the GlycoFlex, which my hollistic vet also recommends. He has been on it about 5 weeks now and his knee is not catching anymore. Now I don't know if that is from the GF or just time to recover from the surgery. So I feel like he is doing well on it. Was just wondering if there is something bad about it I should know about.
