No Longer a Member | Ear crust I don't know if I just noticed it or it has always been there.... But my puppy seems to have crust at the base of her ears. She did have ear mites and bacterial infection. I took her on friday and she got treated for the ear mites and I am giving her meds for the infection. Is the crust just a symptom of either or those? I did a search on YT already and it only comes up with crust on the tip of the ears. |

| Hi, you may want to call your vet, just to be sure, and give the meds as prescribed. Your vet may have to irrigate her ears. I hope she's better soon.

| I don't have the answer for you, but I'd call the vet to explain what's happening. Maybe it's normal, and he could put your mind at ease.

| Crust can be a symptoms of certain types of mites. If they meds are gone and it is still crusty, I'd call the vet and ask.

| Funny! My husband took Wookie into the vet for me last week cause I couldn't get away from work. He had a little eye infection. The vet asked my husband if I had any kids. When he said no she laughed and said she thought so, and knew Wookie was my baby!!! Guess I bring him in a little too much!!! It just so hard when they can't talk to you about what is going on with them!! You don't know if things are serious or they are just having a bad day!!!!
