| So sorry your having problems with your little boy. I certainly would stop giving treats altogether, as it sounds like he is "holding out" for something better. I know he refused to eat his Nutro, which is great he is smart! Nutro has been linked to thousands of pet deaths so it's super great you switched food. I can't remember how old/big he is? That makes a big difference in advice for you.

| he is 5lbs and 4 months old. He only get the bacon treats for potty training only. However, we break it off into tiny pieces for him so he doesn't get it a lot. But he is addicted to the smell now. |

| I just saw that he is four months old and five lbs. Since he's bigger, the risk of hypo isn't quite as high, but it is still there. Do you free feed or feed on a schedule? What have you tried doing to get him to eat? Did you offer him some of the turkey roll you got at Petco? This would be a much healthier option for him than beggin strips and milkbones. If he truly is weak and hasn't eaten all day, I would give him a bit of nutrical to keep his sugar up. If you don't have that, karo syrup or honey will work as well. Just don't feed too much as it can supress the appetite.

| My dog did that when she had diarrhea and I gave her chicken and rice. She wouldnt even touch her food later. I had to be tough and just say no treats, 'if you are hungry you will eat your regular food' Its true, they get hungry enough, they will eat, only lasts like a day at the most.. |
