| another important thing is our vet said to feed 1/2 of what pet food manufacturers state on bag as they want to sell more food and reason why so many dogs are overweight as my dex was overweight and now normal size. If you food process carrots and green beans that is good too as they are fillers and you break the cellular wall so they can digest those properly. I feed all mine separately as due to health issues each eats a different diet and that helps as well as free feeding on can be eating the others portion |

| being just 2lbs over weight can definitely affect the trachea in this bread so that is another reason to keep their weight down as you will notice they reverse sneeze alot more when they are overweight and you definitely do not want collapsed trachea |

| Mine that is almost 14 lbs isn't really what I would call fat, I would call her big. The thing is people seem to forget, that these dogs used to be up close to 30 lbs years ago..My main concern is their health, mine is in good shape, she runs and never gets any "junk" food. She doesn't eat anymore than my normal weight dogs. I think she's a throw back, as does the vet. |

| Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | Everyone makes fun of Aiden. I know I need to post pics, but he's HUGE and only 9 mo old. My uncle has a "normal" sized yorkie Maggie, and he always teases me saying Aiden is part Rotweiler. I think I should walk him more also, but it's so cold and almost dark by the time I get home, and it's huntng season. I live way off the road in the woods,I'm nervous. I should do what Cesar Milan does, put him on the treadmill...at least that would get the dust bunnies off it!!! HEHEHEH

| I just realized that I never posted to say what the vet report was. Uh, oh...he's a chunky monkey! lol They said he should have a little divet at his waist (as you all explained to me) and nope, nada, not there. They didn't say how much he should lose though, so we'll try to drop a pound or so and get him checked again. I stopped worrying about it while he had his staph infection (bad groomer) and was on steroids and antibiotics, but now he's up to 9.75lbs. ![]() So, I'm going to separate him from Kandi at meal times and cut his portion size some, add some green beans and see what he thinks. I'll also cut his treats in half. He is exercising more now that he can run around and play with Kandi, so hopefully that will help. Thanks for all of your advice.

| Gizzy, my friend, I feel your pain. I am a chubby wubby - my back holds water when mommy bathes me and I am on a Di*t too. I hate that bad word. We are going to have to work hard at losing those extra ounces so that our mommy's won't worry so much. |

I tried to tell them it was my luxuriously thick cottony coat for winter, but they just giggled at me and gave me kisses. I liked the kisses from the girls in the office, but if I can't have those YYs your mama makes...oh no! ![]() Whew! My mama says I can have a few, just not as many as before. That might be okay. Thanks! Us chubby wubbies need to stick together.

| Unfortunately, Gizmo turned his nose up at the green beans last night (but Kandi loved them) lol! Gizmo says he wants to be on Adkins! (We are researching a raw diet. )
