Water Would Help This. Anyone Ever Hear About That?

Yeah, and it worked for Joey, I don't know why it works. When he was a puppy, his eyes would tear, and the hair under his eyes would be wet. We tried the distilled water, and after about three days the area was dry all the time. I kept using the water, and one day I noticed he was tearing again, and asked my husband if he had given Joey some regular water. The miracle of the whole thing is that my husband actually admitted he had.

. Went back on distilled water and the eyes were dry again. Every month or so I would test and give him regular water because I just couldn't believe this worked, and he would tear up again. About the age of 8 months, I tested with the regular water and no tears, so he's been on regular water ever since. The food stayed the same so it wasn't that, the only thing that might of effected the test was we were using a stainless steal bowl, and switched bowls during this time, but I don't know if that effected results. If you test it make sure that you get distilled and not purified water. Walmart has a brand of bottled water that is distilled and sold by the gallon that can be used in baby's formula, so I assume it's safe for drinking, some distilled water might not be safe because there is no expiration date on it because it used mainly for appliances. The Walmart brand is only $1.00 for a gallon.

Tearing can be caused by other things, such as food allergies, but this is a relatively simple fix, and you should see results the first week if it's going to work.

May i ask what is distilled water?? And How do i know if the brand i choose is safe or not?

I have tried distilled water before and my dogs wouldn't touch it. Is there a certain type or brand I should look for?

A ceramic/porcelain bowl, some types of ceramics may not be safe because of lead contents. Any ceramic bowl that says it can be used it the diswasher is probably OK. Stainless steal bowls have nickel in them and the nickel can leach out over time and cause allergy reactions.

Distilled water is a process in which all minerals are removed from the water. At one time lots of different appliances such as steam irons would only work with distilled water. Minerals found in water can clog up certain appliances, and perhaps these minerals cause a reaction in some dogs.

Some brands actually say, not safe for drinking. Like I said, earlier the Walmart brand that is made specifically for baby formula is a good one to choose.

Water usually contains some tiny contaminants, and various minerals. When water is distilled it is boiled until it changes to steam. Then the steam is allowed to cool down and condense to liquid again.

i used the water from safeway right now, think its sparklettes distilled is that ok

As long as it says distilled and not purified, that would be ok, I guess. Some water isn't safe not just because of the bacteria that can build up over time, but the plastic used in some jugs isn't considered safe. These will usually say not safe for drinking.

Are there any other signs of allergies such as iching?

nope shes all good in all areas . maybe pees more than normal but shes getting better on that. she holds it longer now.

Than I would give the water a try, the only other thing I can think of off hand is pollen in the air. You might want to see if it worse on days with high pollen counts.

i made the switch today, as i should have along time ago. i dont have a pollen counter. hehe.

Most local news reports will tell you, or a newspapers, if you have internet access there are several weather reports available locally too.
