Just administered FrontLine Plus....need help!

I know I'm thinking the same way.. I'm considering going all organic for teddy. Also when do you switch them off of puppy food? Teddy is 6 months now.. I think coming up on 7 months

My Gus doesn't like the smell either and runs around a bit after his Frontline, but he's fine in a couple hours. Frankly, I don't blame him; until it sinks in, it smells like Raid!

If your baby had any fleas, though, it's possible that they were going a little nutty trying to bite or get off. My understanding is that when a live flea bites a dog that has Frontline treatments, it makes the flea hyperactive before it dies.

I agree-call the vet! They really can get allergic to something although you've used it before...

I asked the same ? on YT before. I switched Bella soon after she was 1 yr old. You will get great advice on YT. If you use the "search" feature, it will help with alot ques. If not, you have yr YT friends here who will try to find the right answer. You sound like a very good Mommy who's trying to do the very best for her sweet little boy Teddy.

he's my very first dog that I can actually call mine and not my parents so I'm trying to make sure that he's trained and healthy and happy. I mean if I could just break him of a couple more things then he'd be a really good dog.. which he is but he has his moments

I have never understand how the dosage can be appropriate for dogs under 10 pounds......I split the dosage between my dogs and it works just fine. I've done it this way for years. I have 5 dogs and together they total about 32 lbs!!!!! I also don't treat them all year. Of course my vet doesn't recommend either practice, but I have never had a problem or a flea/tick doing it this way. Recently, I was told you could buy Frontline in a spray bottle. Now I can put the correct dosage for the weight of my dogs. I found it at entirelypets.com. juliet

you can also buy frontline and such off of ebay for cheaper..I know a girl that buys the BIG big dosage but splits it up and gives the right dosage for her dog and then that stuff lasts like 6 months. I haven't done it yet but I need to get something for him and get some benedryl.

Well, Update:
You were right! Thanks!! Last nite Bella seemed Better. She was eating, even brought her toy to me to play This morning, the scratching was still intense, even after the Frontline Plus. My DH & I both held Bella to check her out completely. Found a couple of "F L E A S" !! I now have no doubt her problem is coming from fleas, even if a few!! I made a mad dash to the Vet's office to pick up Capstar tabs. Poor Baby! Mommy's going to do everything I can to get rid of these horrible nasty creatures. We haven't even taken her outside very much lately because I was afraid of the dreaded word. Well, I will continue with the Dawn too, but not skip any more flea med treatments now that I know she needs it. I guess every case is different. It's definitely a learning experience with our little furbabies. It makes them sooooo Miserable!!

Benadryl will help with itching from bites, YB. But you might want to think about giving a flea bath and treating your home to be sure none of the little buggers survived! Glad your baby is feeling better!

I get my Frontline from joespetmeds.com. Best price I've found online; a 6-month supply for small dogs goes for about $42. And if you split it because of how small your baby is, that's at least a year's worth. The local Petco charges $60 for a 3-month!

Thank you.....she's definitely getting another Bath! Just wanted to wait til the meds had time to do their thing. Definitely treating home/yard too. It would be soooo nice Not to have to worry about these dreaded Flea creatures! How do you split the dosage? Isn't it in a concealed pack individually?
