| ![]() I've been through it all too!! I was feeding Innova & Evo but now I went back to homecooking, 70% meat, 20% veggies and 10% rice, potato or sweet potato. But I am investigating Raw. I just don't know if would be O.K. for Brooke because she is still on chemo treatments and is immune surpressed, I don't want to take a chance on the bacteria. It is frustrating though!! ![]()

![]() SO happy about your vet appt!!! You must feel a weight off of your shoulders bc I know how much you were struggling w/ finding the right thing for your baby. YAY and YAY! As for the weight, my Marcel is a little guy (3.4 as an adult) and when I got him at 4 mths old, he gained about an oz. or so a week, which seemed about normal to me. So, I think Brylie's gain seems pretty good. ![]()

| ![]() I finally settled on Foster & Smith's food for my Yorkies (I have 12). All mine do very well on it and I was completely satisfied until I joined here and saw all the different foods and comments about them. Now I'm wondering if maybe I shouldn't move up to a higher protein food. I can't seem to find a good answer as to what is the ideal protein range for most Yorkies. My gut tells me to keep the protein down (F&S is 26% for its chicken and 21% for the lamb) so as not to tax their livers over time but I'm really not sure. I worry about the incidence in accquired MVD and liver shunts in Yorkies. I'm certain that the food I use doesn't have any bad ingredients but not so sure if it's the ideal food or not. A lady that recently got a puppy from us called today to tell me she was doing very well and that she had given her daughter some Foster & Smith's for her Shi-tzu and 2 Yorkies that were very picky eaters and were not eating well and that they all love it. Foe now I'm staying put with F&S but am still searching for good info on desired protein levels. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Maybe Wiley'sMom has thoughts on the liver with high protein food. I have no clue. She could probably make sense on it. Check in...she'll post, I'm pretty sure. ![]() | |

| ![]() Just a note to those who (like me) have to drive a distance to find the food you want. I order from k9cuisine.com....they offer free shipping, and I find the prices comparable to what I would find if I drove for 3 hours. I was so happy to find them, and have been pleased so far. The only thing that has been "bad" is that one time a package arrived with a small hole in the bottom of it. I just taped it up. |

| ![]() I have to order also. Just got my order today. I've got older kids so I need to feed a lower protein food. For now I'm feeding Canidae Platinum senior and all has been fine. ![]() |

| ![]() We finally went with Innova and it seems to be a great food, it was a chore to make a decision though.
