Well, I have one who likes to eat her poos too. She's 17 mo. It's disgusting, but many dogs do it. My vet said it won't hurt or make her sick and not to worry about it healthwise for her. But it really bothers me. I give her Deter and it helps. If she eats one now, it's at night - no idea why. And I don't know it until morning when I see the poo smear on the potty pad and no poo. ![]() She used to eat kibble, but now I cook for her and that had no effect. Can't offer any advice on how to stop it. But I can sure commiserate with you. Good luck.

| I had the same exact problem last night, archie poops early in the morning and this time he decided to eat it all up, he has suffered of colitis for a few days and has only been eating rice and turkey baby food (as prescribed by the vet). I hope he does not do it tonight again or I am definetely going to petsmart and get those pills mentioned in the earlier posts. Good luck with your baby!!!

Sometimes they eat their poop when their stomach is upset or she just doesn't want to get in trouble for pooping on the floor.

Chloe will eat and or move her poop to other rooms. I think its def. to keep her area clean. She picks her poop up and drops it in the kitchen, or she eats it if the doors closed. Now she doesn't do it all the time, but she does it sometimes.

My chihuahua has this habit. It just disgusting. Though my husband laughs and says that I no longer have to get up and clean up his poop, since he did it for me! PINEAPPLES!!! Feed your dog some pineapples. I swear it will work for your dog. Gizmo didn't even touch his poo when he was fed pineapples. At one point, he looked even depressed that he couldn't eat his poop! Good luck!
