| I homecook too! I use recipes from Dr. Pitcairn's book, as well as things I've come up with on my own, which are adaptations of some of his recipes, as well as from recipes posted in the homecooking sticky. I couldn't be doing this without all the help, advice, & support from my YT homecooking mentors Yorkiedaze, Yorkieluv, and Marcerella02!

| I've been homecooking for about a year now..I started when Miko was a pup(about 3 years ago), and cooked for him on and off but when we found out he had liver problems, our vet insisted we put him on prescription food...We didn't know enough about nutrition for liver compromised dogs, so we did...Well, Miko continued to have liver problems and bladder stone problems. Our vet was at a total loss, so I researched homecooking for liver compromised dogs with ammonium urate stones for a long time and finally decided to take the plunge. It took a little bit of trial and error with him since he can't have so many different types of foods. But Now, he has been seizure and stone-free since around July!!!

| Yes pitcairns book but I am lost on the suppliments and I have saw on here where not everyone is doing the healthy powder which seems so complicated. So I am looking around at different suppliments

| It's only complicated the first time Once you get all the ingredients for it, you mix it up...Once that's done, you will have enough healthy powder to last you SEVERAL recipes, and you won't have to do it again until you run out of the mix
