| what would YOU do??? Ok Sam has had this lil bump on his head and now its gotten pretty big. You cant see it just looking at him bc of his hair. You can kinda see it in those pics where him and the Zebra are smoochin. Anyway, it doesnt seem to bother him every now and then he wants tries to scratch it. I took him to Dr. Bing this morning and he said it was nothing more than a mole. He could remove it on an outpatient basis but that would require him going under again. He said if he removed it then it would just be a blackish spot on his head. I dont know. What would you do??

| I'm no expert, and I would like to see what others post. That said, if it were Gizmo, I would just keep an eye on it for any changes. If it changes in color, size, firmness, etc... or begins to bother him, then I would have it removed. Just my opinion.

| Funny, Mitzi just developed the same thingy at the same spot and the Vet told us the same. Now, hubby has quite a few moles and warts too and we always freeze them away with Dr. Scholl's wartner, so I tried that on Mitzi and it looks like the thingy dries up and gets ready to fall off... |

| Yep, I agree! As long as there's no health reason to remove it, I wouldn't risk putting him under. But if it changes, then obviously I would see what to do next...

| I would just watch it too since you have already seen the vet. If it itches...maybe a little bit of benadryl cream.

| Thanks all... It probably bothers me more than it bothers him. Im afraid that it hurts him or something. I will definetly keep my eye on it. What about neosporin cream?

| neosporin is just for open wounds or burns if it were Layla i would leave it... although i know it would really bother me... if it didn't bother her or say get in the way when i was brushing her and accidentinty get cut.. but if it got bigger i'd have it removed... i'm sure he woudln't be under for more than like 30 min... but i'd wait until the last possible moment before doing that. |

| I agree with everyone else, leave it alone... if it changes in any way.. then have it removed

| Zippy has bumps all over his body, and had some removed during his dentals and biopsied just to be sure they weren't malignant.
