| ![]() Buddy did as a pup. The day I brought him home he threw up all over me. He did outgrow it maybe around 5-6 mos. He would dry heave when I took him in the car. The move we went in the car the more he became use to it. I hope your two out grow it as well. |

| ![]() Well... are they just vomiting in the car or what exactly are they doing? Meka's had issues in the car lately. In the past two months, we've gone for several short distance and two long distance (1 hr) trips. She always shakes from being nervous... but on the first hour long drive, she shook more than usual and vomited. So the next time, I waited to feed her until we arrived at our destination... and that prevented the vomiting. Then I usually held her in previous trips, so this time she had a carseat... though she still shook at first, but midway there she was a lot calmer and did much better than the last.... She's 8 mo's right now... I'd say try not feeding them (until later) if they're vomiting... or the pet carseats ![]()

| ![]() Rocco was throwing up in the car ALL THE TIME when I first got him. Drove me crazy. He would throw up like 4-7 times each car drive depending on the distance. I noticed he would throw up more when I drove through the streets because of the stop and go, as opposed to the freeway. I just kept putting him in the car until it eventually stopped at 10 months, YES 10 MONTHS..lol..Now he will still get car sick if I'm driving too long with too much stop and go but he's better for the most part. Just keep taking them for car rides and carry lots of paper towels ![]()

Donating YT 30K Club Member | ![]() Pixie gets car sick and she is almost 2, but she had never been in a car until I got her at 13 months. My groomer said to give her a ginger snap. I am going to try it next time I take her out.

| ![]() Bernie gets car sick on the longer car rides. Though, when I take him out of the town I live in, we have to take windy mountain roads. I think the constant turns get him sick. I try to go a slower speed and I try to make him sit in his bed. However, he's a pretty active boy and hates sitting still for that long. I always make sure that I have a blanket under him, so if he does get sick, he'll get sick on the blanket.

| ![]() Ellie can get very car sick on longer trips. She never outgrew it totally. I finally started giving her 1/2 ginger snap cookie before we left and that has solved the problem so far.

| ![]() Piper only threw up once, and it was when we went on a little longer trip than usual. He wouldn't even take a treat. Ellie I'll have to try the ginger snap and see if that helps him. Thanks for the suggestion.

| ![]() I have one that used to throw up in the car. She hasn't for awhile now so maybe she has outgrown it or become accustomed to the rides. Now she just curls up in her car seat and sleeps. ![]() I have seen natural remedies on the web to give to your dog to help them with that. Maybe you could google it and find them. |

| ![]() Bella gets car sick so the vet gave us a medicine to give to her before each car ride. I'm not sure of the name, but I'm sure if you mention it to your vet he/she'll know what it is. I give it to Bella about 10-20mins before we leave and it lasts about 4hours. If it wasn't for this, she wouldn't be able to go anywhere, even a 3min. ride down the road would upset her little tummy. She's only thrown up twice when on the med, one was because I didn't wait for it to settle before we left, the other time was last night..she threw up on the way home from training but I think that's because she had a lot of treats. Another thing I heard was to keep them in a carrier because when your driving and their looking around, they can get dizzy. If they can only see inside a carrier that helps prevent that.
