Bella gets car sick so the vet gave us a medicine to give to her before each car ride. I'm not sure of the name, but I'm sure if you mention it to your vet he/she'll know what it is. I give it to Bella about 10-20mins before we leave and it lasts about 4hours. If it wasn't for this, she wouldn't be able to go anywhere, even a 3min. ride down the road would upset her little tummy. She's only thrown up twice when on the med, one was because I didn't wait for it to settle before we left, the other time was last night..she threw up on the way home from training but I think that's because she had a lot of treats.
Another thing I heard was to keep them in a carrier because when your driving and their looking around, they can get dizzy. If they can only see inside a carrier that helps prevent that.
