| HMMM well.... as much as you guys are mentioning all these great shampoos and conditioners you can order..... I have nEVER found anything i like better for a conditioner the AUSSIE 3 minute miracle. I tried all the expensive special dog stuff everyone rave about but found nothing i liked better then this. It's made for humans and you can get it most everywhere including Target ot the grocery stores. It's usually around 3 bucks a bottle and has NEVER dried my babies out at all and always left them soft , shiney and looking great. AND...LOL It does wonders for human hair too if you don't like it for your dogs...LOL The main thing is leave it on for the 3 minutes. Leaving it on 3 nimutes makes it work WAY better then on and off

I just used this on Sonny today. WOW! What a difference. I did the 3 minute thing too. I have to say the one product I won't stray from is THERMASILK LEAVE-IN CONDITIONER (DETANGLER) SPRAY. I bath my friend's yorkie from time to time and she waits until he is all matted up with sticks in his hair and I use this on his matts and they slide right out. The only reason my friend's yorkie has a long coat is because she's too lazy to do anything with it. LOL! He's pretty though.

| Villette, you should know-I STAY confused! LOL! Embarrassingly so, I might add. I am glad this thread was started. I've been writing down products to look for and try. So, THANK YOU VILLETTE and everyone else who contributed. My dogs probably will thank you too.

| Okay I know this is a post what you use thread but I would like to ask for suggestions instead, hope this is okay! I currently use CC daily on my little guy and the ice on ice and the baby detangler BUT......I am still noticing him being an itchy man. He scratches a lot and I do not know why. I have read corn is bad so I have cut out all the products I was feeding him that had that and I know he has no fleas. So..... with that said and way too many products on this thread to try can anyone suggest another shampoo and conditioner that I may try that would help with his itching? Since this is my first Yorkie or pet for that matter - I am not sure what his coat is like. I would say it is very soft and silky and tends to get a bit greasy on weeks end. We give him a bath about once a week. Here is a picture so you can see his coat – maybe this would help you help me – LOL! Thanks!

What I would do is stop the Ice on Ice and see how he does with only shampoo and conditioner - and rinse REALLY well - I've now been using the CC shampoo for a long time now and my girls never itch on it....It MAY be the Ice on Ice......and if he doesn't stop itching - look into a good oatmeal shampoo..... I didn't want to post this as a total solution for itching - but When Chanel used to play in the water everyday a few summers ago she got REALLY itchy - I got This from Petsmart - and sprayed it on and she stopped itching completely within 24 hours - turned out to be dry skin it's called 'Veternarians Best Moisture Mist SKIN Conditioner' - you spray it on lightly and rub it into the skin - it really worked for Chanel and only cost 8 bucks...she has never scratched since - if I see her just scratching a tiny bit - I just spray some on her - it smells great and is a SKIN Conditioner - not a hair conditioner just something else to try if you get no relief for your little guy - GOOD LUCK

I'd love to hear from others who found products that help with the itchies....I remember seeing Chanel the year she was scratching and I felt terrible seeing her like that. I hope the Moisture Mist helps you !! I can't promise the same results but it helped MY itchy girl. But remember -it's for skin not hair - I didn't see any softness in Chanel even though it said on the bottle lol - but she sure did stop scratching quick. | |

| Itchies - I use groomax soothing oatmeal shampoo for the itchies. You can get it at Petsmart. I usually use it with a good quality conditioner and it works great. It actually leaves Reagan feeling silkier than some of the other more expensive products I use. And it works great on Reagan for her itchies. I don't use it all the time just when she's been scratching a lot. It says to lather it up and work it into the coat/skin for a couple minutes, to actually penetrate the coat and get to the skin. I used to bathe Reagan 1-2 a week. I don't believe she ever got dry skin from it and her coat always looked fine. With yours being that young you might find as he/she gets older you won't have to give as many baths, maybe not though. We only give Reagan 1 bath every week to week and a half now. She just stays cleaner for some reason. I think as long as the skin isn't drying out and the coat looks healthy you are fine. And while we are on the subject of leave in conditioners, I love infusium23 frizz control. Its a human product and fairly cheap too. If you buy it though go ahead and pick up a spray bottle because its a liquid and comes in a bottle that doesn't have a sprayer. I give Reagan a couple sprays before I start to brush and dry her off and it seems so much easier to brush her.

Thanks! I am going to go get some of the "Groomax soothing oatmeal shampoo" and try it. I have recently switched Murphy from Eagle pack food to Chicken soup and I think that has helped too.

| VILLETTE...What is your ABSOLUTE FAVORITE shampoo, conditioner and finishing spray? I know you've tried just about everything. If YOU haven't tried it...it's probably because it hasn't been made yet. just kidding. Seriously, what the ones you had the most luck with of Shampoo, conditioner and finishing spray? Please clue me in because there are so many products here that I couldn't possibly try them all. Thanks for your help.
