I dunno either way, I think I definitely want to try to get them to go back to the sides a bit and not just be so straight across. This was the first cut that our current groomer did on Jackson and my favorite that she ever did. IMG_0056.jpg It seems just more like like a middle part to me. I better leave any cutting to the professionals tho, I am seriously stupid when it comes to anything like that. The most I can do is trim the hair from poking him in the eyes lol.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | That looks adorable too, the only one I don't think looks good is the blunt bangs cut when it first started to grow out.

| I would try to trim it up a bit. Brody had an intense visor cut after his first grooming session. I was TERRIFIED of trimming it.. but I did and I was so relieved. It's still not perfect, and I still have some more trimming to do, but Brody doesn't look as ridiculous anymore!

| To me it looks like the previous groomer clipped further up the head and thinned the area much more. Your new groomer is doing a visor cut and that is why you are getting the bangs. I would take that picture of him with the way the other groomer did it to your new groomer and ask her to do that. Tell her you don't like the visor cut because he ends up with hair in his eyes very quickly. He is such a handsome guy I would want those beautiful eyes showing, too. I really don't care for the visor look either. My groomer does it on a lot of her Shih Tzu clients and it just looks unnatural to me. In the photo of his other duo you can tell that the fur is thinned and much shorter above his eyes. Very stylish. I don't think you can get the same look with scissors. It is done with electric clippers. |

| Brit, Jackson is such a handsome guy no matter what. I would say that you will have to trim between grooms yourself if you want to keep his bangs short. It't not hard and remember, it's just hair, it will grow back. lol

Awww well thank you. I know it gets on his nerves too - always trying to look through them. They actually are growing up a bit since this thread... they're not SO straight down in his face and seem to be gravitating more towards the sides on most days. I've been combing them that way and even when I'm petting him, I just guide them that way with my hands so I think I'm training the bangs LoL... I'm going to let the groomer know next time he sees her that I worked hard on growing them out, and will request not such a blunt cut. Here's a photo of him from two days ago (granted, the wind was kind of blowing them upwards) but you can see how they've grown and are starting to either be pushed backwards or to the sides.

| awww WOW he looks awesome! his hair is growing out nicely. His hair grows soo much faster it seems then Brew's! you know when we first started growing Brews hair out from his puppy cut our groomer did cut a bit of a visor just at the very very front of the bangs. it kind of gave the other hair a jumping off point so that the hairs didn't fall down into his eyes. kind of like a crashing wave Jacksons hair seems pretty thick though - so he may not even need it. anyway looks like you don't need my help - he looks great!!! |

| Still in the annoying growing out stage.... I really wanna get the hair out of his eyes, but trying to be patient. I still am going to keep his face somewhat short, but just don't want the visor cut. I'm going to let the groomer know... it's been about 8ish weeks since she's last seen him, and he's going to need to see her again soon. Here is where he was at last week: photo.JPG They almost seem like they are ready to be pushed back or combed to the side lol.

Zachary's Mom Donating Member | My kids, both in their 40's, still laugh when they talk about the "Buster Brown Haircut" I used to give them between haircuts. Looked like a stuck a bowl on their heads and just cut....ROFL!! Louise |
