| grooming around the eyes Is it easier to have the hair around the eyes trimmed or untrimmed. It seem to grow back very quick.

| I use to trim it and yes, it grows back super quick! So fast that before I knew it the hair was poking his eyes. I've decided to let it grow so I can brush it in place with the rest of his hair. I'm tired of having to trim it every week to week and a half.

| I don't trim them. When they get long enough they will lay flat. If you trim them, they will be constantly poking in the eye and wicking tears out causing staining. Also when trimming, it's scary bc you have to get pretty close and you don't want to poke out an eyeball.

| It is a pain until it grows out enough to lay flat, but worth it IMO. Once it grows out it lays so pretty and you just have to keep it combed.

| My groomer cut Hammers very short on friday. She did awesome and he sat still for it. I like the look , so I'm thinking of trying to trim it ever week or so. |

| Our groomer cut his hair around his eyes very uneven last week. We went back to even them out and now it is SO SHORT!!! In the past when we have tried to grow the hair out it completely covers his eyes and the hair pokes him in his eyes. It got to the point where I couldn't see his eyes. I stayed strong hoping to get over the hump so that his hair would eventually grow down and long enough to brush into place. The groomer convinced me that it was irritating him and I gave in and cut it again. Do you think that if we try it again it will actually grow in to be like if it was never cut at all? Can you estimate how long it will take? I don't want him to suffer while it grows in. I'm torn bc I'd really like to have it look like it was never cut.

| I tried to let my boy's hair grow longer around the eyes so I could pull it up with the rest of his hair, but it was still too short at 9 mos. I let the groomer trim the part just around his eyes and it is so much better for him. I think I'm just going to keep it up myself.

| I'll let you know when Kaji's hair is done growing out. It's pretty long now, but not long enough.

I wish it just took 3 months, it was more like 6-7 months and the reason I do my own grooming now. I admit months 2-5 were the worst for it sticking up, I just used a lot of topknot gel(petsilk) to keep it out of his eyes.

| Well, he hates the Pet Silk. You'd think it was Frontline so that won't work but I'm glad Bogie's hair looks perfect now.

| That's why I haven't met a groomer I like Quote:
I tell the groomers not to do something and they do it anyway It's like I'm speaking another language that they don't understand... I've tried to let the hair grow but I can't wait 3+ months?!! Maybe next winter I'll give it another try if my babies don't mind very much
