| Maden Brush Color There was some question as to what the different colors meant as far as softness. Everyone knew the black brush with red pad was the hard one, but we were unsure about the other colors. So I emailed the company in Taiwan to find out the straight scoop. Cindy Fernking gave me the right info as far as blue and green being the softest and the ones recommended for yorkies. There are actually 4 different soft/hardness levels. Here is what they wrote to me: From : 寄件者 Christina at Madan "Thanks for the commend, yes, the MADAN pin brush was great for the yorkies, special for the Blue and Green colors, this 2 colors are VERY SOFT, and Red, Purple just SOFT, the Pink & Black, Orange, Baby blue was A LITTLE BIT SOFT, and the Black handl with red padding is hard type, We do had promotion for Blue, Black, Orange, Baby blue colors for buy 10 get 1 free, you also can mix colors if you want to!" I am not in a position to buy 10 brushes but maybe some of our yT vendors can take advantage. I did not think it would really make that much difference about a brush. I had a pin brush already, but this Madan brush is well worth the money. A huge difference -- I love it and now maybe we can make grooming time more enjoyable around here.

| I didn't know they have orange & baby blue colors...but thanks for the info. That's what the sales rep told me as well...so I ordered mostly BLUE & GREEN & some pink for the girly girls. I personally use the blk w/blk cushion & it's soft, so I can't wait to try the B&G. I'm going to sell the Madan pin brushes to my fellow YTers for $16 + shipping. They are in U.S.Customs right now...I should receive them in a few days, look for them in the 'Yorkie Products for Sale' section.

Here is the website: www.madan.com.tw/pdtlist.asp?area=47 which for some reason I cannot get to load right now. I even went back to the root address www.madan.com.tw and I am timing out before it loads. But that is the site I found Christina's email address on. If you start selling them, let us know! Madan makes a lot of other pet grooming products too.

| Madan Pin Brushes for sale FlDebra...guess what? The BLUE & GREEN are softer...I tested it w/my blk w/blk cushion. I received my shipment of the Madans, it's in the 'Yorkie Products for Sale' section.

| There are 4 levels of softenss/hardness: The blue and green are supposed to be the same -- Very soft. Red and Purple -- Just Soft Black, Orange, Pink & Baby Blue -- A Little Bit Soft Black with Reddish Pad -- Hard

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | OK, so now we know the colors, and I think I understand why you would want a spongy pad over a hard pad. Perhaps more "give", when you're brushing, but I'm still confused why the softest would be better. Can anyone explain this to me?

| The more "give", the less likely it is to break a delicate coat. Lady's coat is a little cottony so our pink Madan works just fine. |

| Brushes for the Guys I looking at buying 1 or 2 of these brushes for the Boys. Two different coats. Zack's is very very thick but soft while Zeke's is a lot thinner and a little coarser. I keep them in puppy cuts all the time. I would appreciate any help in which brush(es) to get for them. You can get an idea of what their coats are like from their album pics. Tks

My own hair is VERY thick, much thicker than Ben's. But I really like the way the blue brush worked through my own hair. It feels really good, is gentle, but still goes through my thick hair to the scalp. But maybe the vendor can tell us just how much difference in the softness there really is. She said she did notice the blue being softer than the black or pink, but how much, I do not know.
