| Other Cuts Besides Puppy Cut My Yorkie is due for a haircut. He is getting it next week but I am very worried that they will give him a puppy cut. This happened to me the first time I took him to the groomer. I specifically asked that he not get a puppy cut. I even brought pictures of what I wanted. However, when I went to pick him up he was shaved with a puppy cut. What other cuts can be given to a Yorkie besides a puppy cut? Please post pix of Yorkies with short haircuts that aren't puppy cuts.

| Crown royal yorkies.com is a wonderful and informative site. Sue was a professional groomer, has lots of tips online and even has her own DVD on how to trim a Yorkie. A lot of the other girls on another thread have put in orders. Go to search, type in grooming and scroll down. You should be able to find the thread. I'm seriously thinking of grooming Scooter myself. It seems they never get something right.

| I have had a puppy cut on my baby for ever. I would like to see what she looks like with her hair grown out. Could anyone tell me about how long this takes. It has been 3 months since her last haircut and she is so fluffy at the moment. Should I still take her in for trims...like we do to get the split ends cut? Or do I just keep her washed and let it grow on its own? |

| i'm not meaning to be bashing anyone, but in my opinion if i had a client who came in and asked for a specific cut and i did nothing like what they wanted, i wouldn't expect them back in my shop. i guess what i'm suggesting is to maybe search around for another groomer if there are a few in your area, you might get the results you want from another groomer. i have a competition groomer in my area and she is the kind of groomer that if someone asked her to leave the coat say 1" long, she'll shave it to the skin, me on the other hand will take as much time as i need to meet the needs of the client. maybe finding a different groomer will give you the results you want. good luck with the haircut thing

YorkieTalk Newbie! | Afraid of Puppy Cut I'm actually considering getting my boys the puppy cut... but afraid to do it. They are a year old now and I love their longer hair but it's getting really hard to manage. I'm just afraid if I get it cut too short, I won't like it but it won't grow back to the same length they have now. Any thoughts? |

I think your best bet would be to get a picture of how you want your boys' hair cut and take it with you.

YorkieTalk Newbie! | I started taking my boys to the groomers fairly early - probably 10-12 weeks. If they need a bath or a little trim - I don't think it hurts to take them in.

| Here's a cut I put on a little male. Easy to do & easy to take care of. He doesn't look like he's had a hair cut but he did. |

| It's been 2 years, and that website name is up for sale. No information available! However, royal crown yorkies.com is a working website. No information on haircuts though. |
