I like it so much I would consider ordering a newer one if it was quieter than the one I have. |

So far, Chloe is doing really well with it. She has had fairly long nails, since I've been afraid to clip much (I made her bleed once...bad mommy!:() So I've been filing them down now ever few days, trying to get them shorter and shorter. They're looking good so far, and are already at a much better length. She clearly doesn't like the experience, but she stays fairly still and tolerates it. |
I have used the dremel with the attachment. It works great. Look at website for 20 u can buy the head. |
It sucks! My dogs were terrified of it and it took too long to shorten their nails adequately. |

I am not going to be ordering one because I purchased a new electrict file for my nail salon and have passed my older model on to my furbabies. I have been using this on their nails for years. It works almost the same, but there is no guard, and it cost me $495!!! I did take a look at the other one that a few people posted a link to. But from my experience doing nails........STONE = HEAT!!! I would stick with the sanding bands. I really did hope I could tell you to go to the beauty supply and purchase your sanding bands much cheaper, but it looks like this takes the larger ones. Give Home Depot or Lowles a try when you need more. Just take a used one and make sure they are the same size, make sure you get MED or FINE. If you have your dogs nails down where you want them and are just doing maintance on them, I would just purchase FIND GRIT. Some tips: As they say on the web site, fast short strokes....Do not go slow or stop moving with the sanding band on the nail = HOT HOT HOT Do not do more than a couple of swipes on the nail with out moving on to another one. And most important, this product is NOT ment to take long nails and in one sitting make them short. It does not matter if you are clipping or filing....go a little every week till you get them to the lenght that you want them to be. Mine are so used to having theirs done, they dont even flinch. But they do hate the smell of the nail polish I make them wear  Happy filing, Kathy-Ut |

Her nails had been quite long, and so I use it about every 4-5 days for now, until her quick recedes and they are a healthy length. Then I'll go to using it less frequently. She doesn't *like* it, but she sits still for it and tolerates it. That's about all I can ask for! :) |
bought just the device for the dremmel I bought the piece that fits on to your dremmel. I like it because I can get her hair out of hte way and it doesn't seem to pull her hair in with it. She hate it but I am getting her used to it. I have cut her too short in the past and I have let her nails grow too long. so she wiggles like crazy. I have let her get away so I am to blame for the problem with getting it done. Our new dog will hold still to let me do it. I have to watch to make sure I don't go too short. I needed a new dremmel anyway so I got the dremmel and accessories and it works. I let it buzz around her to let her know it won't hurt her. |

peticure.com and I found it that way. |
I finally got mine and so far it is working well. It is very quiet so it doesn't scare the dogs and like everyone said you just have to do a little at a time so it doesn't get hot. |
Peer Pressure! I ordered it. 10 dollars for shipping is absurd! I probably shouldnt have... since im pretty broke... but i should... Chewy hates when i cute her nails and I did cut her quick once. |
peticure I ordered mine about 2 weeks ago and I havent gotten it yet! Sheesh how much longer do I have to wait!:p |
I have seen this advertised on tv recently under a different brand name (can't remember) for $19.99. Hope this guy has a patent and can do something about it.????????????? |
mine took just short of 4 weeks to arrive |
Hmmm ordered on 7/13... 8/12 has come and gone (in 45 mins)... they still havent charged my card though so maybe its out of stock...? |
I ordered mine on 7/5, I just received it yesterday 8/11. I ordered the peticure petite. Works great on my older yorkie, the younger ones don't want anything to do with it yet. |
Thanks... that gives me hope... i havent cut chewys nails in a month waitinng for this thing to arrive.... trying to be patient.... but c'mon!! I am NOT a patient person. |
I got mine in about 1 month. My yorkies are ok with it. They are a little scare but I think they will get use to it. |

yay yay I just got mine, I love it!! Gosh it took long enough to get here.. I was beginning to think they forgot me! I love it though, I got the petite and it works great. Cookie doesn't mind it at all, which I'm totally surprised. I expected her to run far far away from it haha! But yeah its a great purchase I think!:thumbup: |
Well I just ordered mine today (8/20), so I guess the count down begins. |
I finally broke down and ordered me one. Since I work at the bank, I see so much fraud from people shopping off of TV or the internet. Everytime I decided to order one, I would chicken out. I finally just did it, and I am so glad that I did. Of course I watched my account everyday. I am impressed, my account wasn't charged until mine was shipped, and I received it 3 days later. I wish I hadn't waited so long. |
My dtr is thinking about ordering one for her yorkie and doxie. Told her about this thread and how everyone seems to like the product. I will let her order one and borrow it from her to try it myself. |
I ordered mine last Thursday. I am excited to get it. I was trying to hold out till is showed up in the stores like Wallgreens and CVS. They almost always get those "AS SEEN ON TV" items eventually. But I couldn't wait any longer. I hope it doesn't take 4 weeks. Just my luck the stores will have them by then and would have been able to save 9 bucks in shipping...LOL:) Oh well. Cooper is not good with buzzing noises. If I make BUZZing noise with my lips he tries to bite me in the face. and barks like crazy. I have been holding him and sitting with my DH electric razor and just turning it on and off to try to get him used to the noise. |
I have this I find that it works very well, I have 4 schnausers and 1 yorkie, they were use to clippers, so I introduced this slowly, letting them smell it, lay it by them when they slept, petted them with it so they weren't afraid of it, I even turn it on and would rub the smooth side over them sort of like a massage. I actually prefer to remove the thing you put their toenails thru... it seemed to jerky for me... so I carefully hold their feet/toes and do it that way.:Pawprint: desyrae |
