When shopping for slicker brush make sure you use it down your bare arm to see how it will feel on their delicate skin.

i have a question about the mat splitter and the slicker.. if you dont mind

Avery only mats sometimes..and it is only underneath mostly by her front legs. she has a ton of hair!! i have been growing her coat..and plan to continue(i dont want it show length by any means.. just on the longer side.) what would you suggest for her?-a slicker or a mat splitter? should i use my thinning shears on her underneath? (i havent used them on her at all..but i am a hairstylist so i do have some and know how to use them

Is a matt splitter the same thing as a dematting comb?

I use a slicker brush direcly on the matt but I don't brush to whole coat with it. I use a comb and when it gets stuck, I find the matt and use the slicker brush. Works like a charm!

I have to dig my slicker brush out too now LOL. Once the radiators are on and Pepper wears coats outside, he started matting again
