| It's actually not too bad! When I lived in Saskatoon I used to live on the east side and work on the west side, and I get home faster now than I did then! Are you right in Saskatoon?

| We sure are. We're in Briarwood right now, but building a new house in Stonebridge. I work on campus, so it's a super quick journey for me! |

| Oh well that's convenient! I go to campus once or twice a week because my Yorkie, Layla, does rehab at the vet college. It is SUCH a hassle getting over there in the mornings and evening rush hour! Do you and your yorkie go to any dog parks? What is his name, by the way?

| I can imagine what a hassle the traffic must be!! I'm happy to be coming from the direction I am. We haven't made it to any dog parks yet...halfly because of being so busy with building the house...also, I haven't licenced him yet. I'm a little angry at the thought I need to licence him, I never had to back in Lethbridge, so I'm just waiting my sweet time. Hopefully they don't find me first |

| Oh, yes. His name is Cosmo..aka Sir Albert Cosmonaut Lovingsworth. I still haven't heard back from the breeder if she could fit that on his registration. She laughed so hard at me. |

| Hi there! I'm not from Saskatoon but am from Humboldt. This is my first winter with Riley he'll be a year in December and I'm not sure how I should deal with him and this cold weather. Do you take your Yorkies out for walks in this cold weather??? Do they wear booties or jackets? I got a little sweater for him which he doesn't mind but I figure if I would be cold in a sweater and no jacket then he would be too. I'm just worried i'll freeze him or bore him..... any suggestions? |

I didn't even realize I had to license Layla for the first year I was in Saskatoon, but I did do it when I found out. We never had a problem with it before, but my brother knew some people who got a big fine for not having their dog registered. I guess every once in awhile they will randomly go house to house to see if there are any pets and if they are registered. Oh and Cosmo has an adorable name! Layla was already registered as "Roda Birch" when I got her. I wish I would have been able to pick her registered name! Roda just didn't work for me!

| Hi there, I live in Saskatoon. New to this site, today are my first posts. I have a 6 month old little boy called Rambo who fractured his leg on his 5th month. Was in a splint for a bit but surgeons took it off last week to see if it would heal properly without surgery. Will find out on Wednesday what's happening.

| Hi there, just got back from vacation. Yes I did take Rambo to the Vet college and yes they are absolutely wonderful. Unfortunately his leg didn't heal as well as they wanted it to so he has to have surgery on it in December. His knee cap is too sloped so they want to go in and cut a wedge out of his leg so that when it heals the bone will join together and pull the knee cap down. Not looking too forward to that as he's extremely active. What happened to your little girl, if you don't mind me asking?

| Sorry I haven't checked this part of the forum in awhile! Layla had a ruptured disk in her back and became paralyzed within hours. That's how we found out she has degenerative disk disease. They did spinal surgery, but the damage was already done with the initial rupture. She had another flare-up a couple of years ago that she recovered completely from, and nothing since! Good luck to Rambo with his surgery coming up! I know they will do a great job with him.
