| hey natalia ! im from brooklyn as well and im searching for a yorkie to be a wonderful addition to my home . now, before i purchase a puppy my parents insist that i do TONS of research . i did notice puppy boutique, when i googled puppy shops in bk . i researched them and got HORRIBLE feedback. ive read that the puppies are treated sooo poorly :[ . when i did visit, the service was horrible. when one of the women that worked there, asked if we were purchasing a puppy today, and we replied no - she rudely walked away. she also took forever to let a yorkie out of the cage so we could hold her . we observed that many of the yorkies were sleeping. a woman beside us whispered that she noticed vomit in one of the cages. and to top that , the same rude worker pulled out another puppy from the back of the store and it looked like DEATH. such a horrible experience :[ . i am a newbie so excuse on of my terms that sound a little off. but so far the whole YT family seems friendly and they are SO helpful. natalia good luck and i hope my response was some what helpful. maybe we could even keep each other posted ; one bk chick to the next ;] |

| My friend got a yorkie from here that died of coccidia after one week of having him. This is a puppy mill pet store. I live in NYC and I flew out of town to get my yorkie. I would really recommend doing your research and finding a akc breeder. Do not buy a dog from this pet store/ |

YorkieTalk Newbie! | myspace Hey I actually saw their page on Myspace and I messaged the person and he promised me if I came in person he would give me a dog for 700 just because I had a pretty face. He wasn't professional at all and cared more about getting a date than telling me about the puppies when I asked for information. I think they're a puppy mill as well be careful. |

| First off, Hi and Welcome to Yorkie Talk... Be very careful of Greenfield Pets. com and Lancaster puppies.com... If you look @ the Breeders names you will see that they're Amish and PuppyMills. Stay away from them. They pose them with cute little wagons,Beanis Babies and such. But, They're still PuppyMills. Be very careful who you buy from. Please do not go to a pet store, too many puppymill pups and brokers there. I wish you good-luck in finding your baby. Be patient and the right one will come along...

I pray your baby is fine But it still doesn't take away from the fact that this place get's there puppies from a Puppymill. Did you know that they get there puppies delivered to them on a big truck. Truthfully Prepare Now with a bank account if you already don't have one Because Coming from a Puppymill There could be Any Health Problems & it can be very expensive. | |

| Please DO NOT buy a puppy from Puppy Petite. They are horrible! If you go to their website it dosent seem like they get their puppies from mills, but then when you email them, they tell you that you have to come to their house to see the puppies, and then their house is a pet store! Its horrible

That's Great New's! I hope it's the same for the future. Please do some research on some health problem's in petstore puppies. Also behavioral Problems. "Obedience instructors and canine behavioral consultants will be happy to tell you about the temperament and behavior problems that develop in many pet shop puppies as they grow up. Bad temperament shows up later. Most pet shop puppies start out playful and friendly, but as they mature, their genes begin to assert themselves. If their parents or grandparents had shy or aggressive or hyperactive temperaments, those genes will show up during adolescence and adulthood. Many pet shop puppies are nippy. Some were removed from their mother before 7 weeks of age, a critical period of time where she teaches them "bite inhibition." Some have learned to nip from interacting with so many potential owners wandering through the pet shop, including kids who tug and play roughly. Most of these potential owners thought the nipping was cute, didn't correct the puppy for it, and so the habit becomes entrenched. Housebreaking can be a problem. Finally, raised in a small cage in which they're encouraged to eliminate freely, pet shop puppies are notoriously difficult to housebreak."
