| Kaji did that to me a couple of months ago. He didn't eat much for a few days and now is back to eating his food. He's older, so I didn't worry so much about his sugar levels, and I did give him his regular snacks (fresh fruits and veggies), but I did less of them since I really wanted him to go back to his food, it has more nutrients than carrots or tomatoes alone. I do think they get bored with their food even though most won't agree. Try adding a small amount of fresh veggies or fruit with his kibble just to entice him. Once you get him eating his appetite will kick in and he'll end up eating the whole bowl! I hope this helps.

| Mardelin, I know you're the expert and if even you are having a problem with a picky eater, then I'll bite my tongue and count my lucky stars that Kaji will quit his hunger strikes as long as I make his food interesting. I hope you find the solution to your problem soon!!

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | You might try putting a little chicken broth on the kibble. I've had good luck with mine just being firm about it. They'll eat when they get hungry. It can be a little agonizing for you at first, but it'll be worth it if they start eating. And I personally have had good luck not free-feeding. I put out their bowls twice a day at the same time (can do 3 times a day for a puppy) and then take it away when they stop eating or walk away. You can always try giving them a little Nutrical if the no eating persists for a couple days.
