| Kennel size(s) when traveling by air Best to call and find out what their specific sizes are since they are based on the type of aircraft you will be traveling on. This is especially true if you have connecting flights on different types of aircraft. I found that out when I went from Melbourne FL to Columbus OH and back to pick up and adopt Spike late Feb '10. Also check what their pet fees are. SW and AirTran are $70-$75 while Delta was $100 for Spike, each way if it was round trip for him. My fare was only $200.

Make sure the medium is acceptable size with your particular airline and flight. I was only able to use the Sherpa small on the airlines I used.

I read 2 or 3 reviews on the medium size where flyers have mentioned that they had no problems flying with SWA with medium Sherpas which exceed the limits by 2 inches. | |

| Update. Had a pleasant journey on SWA on 5/12. The bag went under the seat fine. But i pulled it a little to the outside and kept the zipper a little open so he can see me through it. Check in at LAX was a breeze.. when flight took off he was a little scared of the engines revving up. Apart from that the Sherpa bag was ideal for him. |
