| I wish your new little puppy and your friend a safe journey. I have flown from South Korea to Texas several times with my little KimMee and our stop over was Japan!- It was a 23 hour trip door to door and I just had pee pads and took her into the rest room. I got my KimMee in South Korea and she did great everytime so I wish that for your little one and I wish her and you all the best in getting to know each other. I look forward to home coming pictures |

| Home at last Home at last. Kayla is here. She is so tiny and frightened that it is heartbreaking. She doesn't seem to know how to play with her silkie terrier sister, Ruby or my yorkie, Patrick. She does play by herself, throwing a toy in the air and pouncing on it when she thinks no one is looking. Kayla was well behaved, never crying or barking. But she is very shy and will need time to warm up to her new family and friends. She is eating and sleeping and her poopy is normal. But she keeps going into the utility room, where the wee wee pads are and hiding. So we put her travel crate near the doorway of the utility room and she uses it as her "safety zone" when she feels like taking a break from the rest of us. She is just under 3 lbs and so fragile, it is probably why her former owners felt that they couldn't keep her. But her sister is 3.5 lbs and Patrick is a whopping 5 lbs, so she will have puppies close to her size to play with. Here are the first batch of pics. First Kayla (pink topknot) her new mommy and her sister Ruby. Next Kayla and Patrick (he wants to get down and play). Last Kayla in her safety zone getting some much needed rest. All will be well now.

| more Kayla pics Kayla had a great weekend. She is adapting to her new home rapidly and has already establish herself as the tiny pack leader. She is older than Patrick and her sister Ruby, so she puts them in their place if they get to excited and do something which she doesn't approve of (like jumping on her head or trying to eat her topknot). We weighted her and she is an amazing 2 lbs 13 oz at 11 months old. She apparently had never been for a walk and was so frightened when her new mommy took her outside that she had to carry Kayla around for awhile. But true to her breed, Kayla has the courage of a yorkie and is now having fun with her new "litter mates". Here is a pic from yesterdays "romp" in the grass with her sister Ruby. (Kayla is on the left with the longer coat)

| Update Kayla is doing well, but we have discovered that she is not totally housebroken and has never been for a walk. Apparently she was kept indoors, inside an xpen for her entire life. She will be 1 year old next month and she did not even have a leash or harness. So her new mommy has to retrain her by keeping her in a small area when she is at work and watching her constantly when she is home to prevent "accidents". She is carrying Kayla on her walks because the poor little girl is frightened to death of the outdoors and the "strange noises" of nearby traffic, birds, etc. But things will be fine in time with patience and love.
