Poor Dear Sally. What a load you have to deal with right now. Hope you are feeling better from the cold/ lurgy and so sorry poor Andy caught it too, and not being able to take meds to help him through. Thank goodness he is healing enough to take the coughing with not too much damage. Aaaargh!! Hope the bug goes away very soon.
That is horrible news about your dad, troubles sure never come singly. Hope he got treated quickly and is recovering well. Thoughts and prayers for a quick return to health.
Hoping through all this you were both able to enjoy the family visit, and that they have a peaceful and safe journey home.
There is some good news and that is that Andy is getting better from the surgery, Yeh!!
Spring is coming and hopefully with things looking more rosy for your family.

I know you enjoyed the visit with the kids but know how tiring family visits can be. Sure hope your father is feeling better today, poor guy. Do you know if his doctor is really worried about him or was hospitalizing him more to observe, test? How is your mom doing?

Hopefully you and Andy can make significant advances on clearing up your colds this week and life can begin to sort of feel more like normal again. You've been a positive soldier throughout all this - never heard you actually complain for even a moment and you had every right. Hoping and praying for better times over there. They had to admit my dad, as he collapsed with it all in the bathroom, in the middle of the night, while my mum was sleeping. She didn't find him 'til the morning

Unfortunately, the position that he fell, he kind of got wedged between the door and the radiator (their heating's always on, they're such chilly things) and so was laying against that burning heat...his back is very burned, too My heart is absolutely bleeding for him.

My mum has her own troubles (not as bad as his, more age-related), but both my sister and I have spare rooms that she can stay in if she wishes. She doesn't want that at the mo - we're spending loads of time with her, but she's wanting to end up in her own bed. I shall go round there first thing in the morning. Thank goodness Andy's on the mend - what a couple of weeks....!!!! xxx

Yikes - the poor thing! I hope he wasn't conscious while he was lying there with his back being burned - cannot imagine the pain. How horrible if he was! I can't imagine what he must have gone through. He truly needs some time with the professionals hovering over him and your poor mom needs some petting/TLC and her own bed, too. Something about getting older they all want to be home at bedtime. Poor, poor things. Maybe they can get a health aide to come in 3 or 4 times a week to check on them. Sounds like your dad could use one of those medical alert buttons to wear around his neck, too. Sure hope things begin to look up over your way.

Sally I am so sorry to learn about your Dad and all that he has gone through. Sending prayers and best wishes for him and I hope he heals quickly. Oh no Sally, your poor dad. How is he? I hope he's recovering well? How awful that he was burned on top of collapsing with a heart attack/TIA. I'm so sorry to read this, when I last posted I hoped you and Andy were both well on the road to recovery and were both enjoying some quality time with your children/grandchildren.

Morning, everyone

All's improving veeeerrry slightly at home, Andy-wise. At least his operation healing is going extremely well, woo hoo!!!

We both are now on amoxicillin, I don't think the doctor can quite believe all that's going on in our house!!! Dad's still in hospital - but I'm not allowed to visit him (doctors orders!) as he can't be placed in any danger of catching this...fortunately my sister's able to visit him - she's still well, at the moment xxx

So fed up with feeling so rubbishy - when all I want to do is go and visit and cuddle and look after my lovely family - hopefully it won't be too long now! Big, safe, long-distance hugs to you all!!! xxx

Good to hear Andy is recovery well, how horrible about your dad getting burned from radiator, poor, poor man. He is in the best place he can be, hospital, where they can monitor him and care for his burns. Praying things turn around for the best quickly for you and your family, (((HUGS))).
