| ![]() Oh, Poor Dear Sally ![]() So sorry you and Andy are still feeling so bad with the respiratory infection, but hoping the ABs clear it up soon. What a misery that all this is happening, it really sucks!!! Your dear dad is in the right place to get him better and pray he is well again soon. I can see it is upsetting for you that you are not allowed to see him, but an infection would be very harmful to him now. You must be comforted though that Andy is healing well, but will be happier when you both are over the bad colds and coughs. It is not fair, you do not deserve all this trauma. I feel for you, and thoughts and prayers coming your way for this bad patch to fly away soon. Again, so sorry that you are both sick. Get well SOON!!! Healing wishes and big hugs. Dot xxxxxxx |

| ![]() You poor things - was so hoping this week would be a better one but now we'll aim toward next week getting you there or at least a lot closer. If ever two people were a set-up for germ-warfare, you were. Rest, drink your liquids, rest and pamper yourselves and we'll be out here praying always that Andy's result will be A-1++++ with his surgery and he'll feel like a new man. ((((Hugs))))

| ![]() Sally, I hope that each new day you wake up and feel a little better, and that Andy and your dad do too. It is amazing, all that you are going through when even one medical problem would be a lot to handle. ![]() ![]() ![]()

| ![]() Hello Dear Sally. Hope you all had a peaceful Easter and that you and Andy are feeling better now. These respiratory infections can drag on, but hope the SBs worked well for you. How is your dad doing? I pray that he also is feeling much better and is home with your mum by now. I am sure that even though perhaps you did not feel 100%, you cooked up a wonderful and delicious Easter feast for the family ![]() Thinking of you and wishing you well soon. Love and hugs, Dot oxoxox. Kisses to little Harry too ![]() |

| ![]() ![]() ![]() Quick update - things have gone (in a way) from bad to worse. Not Andy-wise though, thank God. Dad's still in the hospital - they won't allow him to come home until a proper care package (apart from me!! ![]() Mum's come to stay with us which is kind of creating it's own problems. Of course I can keep an eye on her here, but our stairs are steep, and we're practically lifting her up them... ![]() Please keep on keeping all your bits and pieces crossed for us! ![]()

| ![]() Thanks Sally for the update. Good news is that Andy is progressing well ![]() Although it is a setback to have to do all that stuff in your parents' home before your dad can come back, it is for the best and will be worth it. I am impressed that the NHS takes so much interest in aftercare. Here you are sent home to fend for yourself. Hope getting the work done does not take up too much more of your time. May that task be done soon ![]() I know it is an additional stress on you to have your mum staying with you now, but at least you know she is safe. The stair thing must be difficult though. You poor thing, you must wonder when normality will reign again in your home after all this trauma. Of course the thoughts and prayers continue for you and your family. Try and take care of yourself throughout all this trauma. My do you need a break!! This too will pass and hopefully Spring will bring happiness and peace soon. Love and hugs, Dot xxxx |

| ![]() So glad Andy and Dad are on the mend. Hoping the work gets done as soon as possible and your parents can get back into their own home and bed - they'll be so much happier there. And so will you! Having an unsettled elder - even Mom or Pop - stay over isn't always a picnic. Getting old enough to retire isn't nearly as free and easy as it's cracked up to be, is it? There's still enough problems and work to be done to keep any two adults busy day to dark. Still praying for all of you.

| ![]() So another quick update.... ![]() My dad's coming home tomorrow - stairlifts's being fitted between 11-4 a.m. - I've advised the hospital that he shouldn't be at home while that's happening...!!! Just can't imagine the eeeek chaos that would cause.... ![]() My mum's quite scared/concerned about going home now - Andy + I are so very relaxed about life in general - we're 'let life be and enjoy' kind of people - my dad isn't it...ex-lawyer...and still thinks he's practising...just don't know what tomorrow will bring - but will keep you posted. I'm so sorry about us - I know you all have more important things to think about - but thank you all for thinking about us (+ loving us all the world please?!!!? ![]()

| ![]() Hello. Thanks for the update, good to know things are coming along well in your parents' home. It is a shame they could not keep your dad in for one more day as installing the stair lift all day tomorrow is not too good for him on his first day home. If he comes home tomorrow I hope there are a bed and bathroom downstairs for him. The great news is that he is deemed well enough to go home. ![]() I can see your mum may be a little apprehensive about being back home after living with you where all is taken care of. But she will soon slip back into her old ways. Hopefully there will be a nurse or helper to assist her if your dad needs any aftercare. And I know you will be there if needed:-) Hoping all goes according to plan tomorrow and that the guys come when they said they would......not always true, here anyway. Warm thoughts and good wishes. Love, Dot xxxx |

| ![]() Don't you ever apologize for needing support and prayer or fail to tell us when something is going on! That's part of what we're here for - to help each other. I can tell you've got your plate full but hopefully mom will calm down when she sees that the stair/chairlift aid will help her and your father and make life easier. A guy like your dad seems to be probably would be far happier if you all just don't manage to get him picked up until after the crew have installed the chairlift and gone home, however late that is! It will be stressful enough for him coming home again and still not feeling his best w/out a lot of hullabaloo going on in his home, a new apparatus to learn how to operate and your mom being tense and upset trying to cope with all she's got on her hands now. Poor things - it's not easy getting old. Hugs to Andy and Harry and even bigger ones to you, Sally.
