Unfortunately, the position that he fell, he kind of got wedged between the door and the radiator (their heating's always on, they're such chilly things) and so was laying against that burning heat...his back is very burned, too My heart is absolutely bleeding for him.
My mum has her own troubles (not as bad as his, more age-related), but both my sister and I have spare rooms that she can stay in if she wishes. She doesn't want that at the mo - we're spending loads of time with her, but she's wanting to end up in her own bed. I shall go round there first thing in the morning. Thank goodness Andy's on the mend - what a couple of weeks....!!!! xxx |
Yikes - the poor thing! I hope he wasn't conscious while he was lying there with his back being burned - cannot imagine the pain. How horrible if he was! I can't imagine what he must have gone through. He truly needs some time with the professionals hovering over him and your poor mom needs some petting/TLC and her own bed, too. Something about getting older they all want to be home at bedtime. Poor, poor things. Maybe they can get a health aide to come in 3 or 4 times a week to check on them. Sounds like your dad could use one of those medical alert buttons to wear around his neck, too. Sure hope things begin to look up over your way.
