Jeanie, I'm sending you hugs and prayers this morning. One little suggestion I have (maybe you already do this), is to get copies of everything and keep your own "master file" handy. There will likely be multiple doctors and facilities involved in your treatment, and over time it gets confusing. They don't always share info quickly, and it is helpful to have copies available for reference (blood tests, diagnosis, scans, procedures), and to remember dates & appointments & meds. It can also avoid duplication. I did this in my husband's cancer treatment, and often I was able to provide helpful info to various doctors that they had not received. I also hope you have a family member or friend that can be your "patient advocate", and also be the person to communicate with other friends/family during your treatment so you won't have to constantly repeat your updates. Take care, stay strong, and nurture yourself however and whenever you can. |

I will get those copies. Hadn't even entered my mind though Baylor automatically send you reports on all its breast imaging studies - probably by law or something. That's an excellent suggestion as I hadn't even thought of it this time. Brain is still a little shocked, thank goodness. That's why I needed YT - knew there would be so many here with quick brains and experience in this disease. Thanks again for those prayers! |
Hi Jeanie, thinking of you sweetie. :rose: |

If by chance you aren't provided this by your Doctor ask for it. Keeping you in thoughts and prayers. |

As a caregiver I also found it helpful to keep a journal in a calendar book, and I tried to make a personal notation daily of some little thing I was grateful for starting with "Just for today, I ...." . It's funny looking back at those notations which became a "Stop and Smell the Roses" type of reminder, and so many notes were about things related to doggies and puppy kisses. Praying for cure and healing for Jeanie. |

Jeanie, I have you in my prayers for all to go extremely well. It is wonderful to have so many of our YT'ers here to send prayers and offer their experiences to help guide you through. Sending you a big hug! |

Sheila & I are very blessed to know you, and we don't want you to be afraid. We will continue our prayers, and I will watch this thread, until you post and say, "I am home, they removed all the cancer!" God Bless & be with you, Jeanie. Rich |
