I'm amazed that you are using your laptop. Sheila & I are so thankful to Our Heavenly Father, that you seem to be doing so well. We continue to keep you in our prayers. Thank you for keeping Sheila in your thoughts & prayers, and me, as well. She had a bit of a setback-stress related. But she will get through it. God Bless you for your kind words. Now, please don't over-do it. Rich |
Sheila and Rich, I have you in my prayers and sending positive thoughts. Hoping Sheila is able to eat better. Bless you both. Love and Hugs, Dyan |

Sheila and Rich, I wanted to let you know I haven't stopped praying for you and thinking of you. Hoping Sheila is able to have an appetite and eat food for strength. Love and Hugs, Dyan |
Hoping and praying things are going better for Sheila. She's often in my prayers and thoughts these days. I, too, hope she's able to eat enough to give her some nutrition and energy. And I always pray her pain level is at least tolerable. I use both an ice bag and Icy Hot patches and spray-on liquid when I hurt badly in my hip or back and can't manage any medication. It helps a lot some times. Stay strong, you two, and God bless you both. |
Praying daily for you both and sending Hugs and Love. |
Sheila and Rich, I am keeping you in my prayers and thoughts. God Bless |

I think Sheila & I are going to call you our "Angel on Earth". Thank you so much for your continued prayers. We tried adding a new food to Sheila's diet on Monday- 1 oz. of extra lean ground chuck-unfortunately, her digestive system wasn't happy, so, it's been Cream of Rice, white toast, and white rice the rest of the week. But, she's not giving up-tomorrow, she is going back to an oz. of baked chicken breast, with her white rice. Love & Hugs to you, from Sheila & I. Rich |

She is too thin to tolerate the patches, and ice. But on Monday morning, we will discuss an opioid medication. It is safe for LC. So, we are hopeful. God Bless you, Jeanie-you are so dear to us. Rich |

Sheila decided against trying the baked chicken for a few days. Yes, we are seeing her DO Monday morning. Her pain management doctor had suggested an opioid for pain, but Sheila prefers to have her DO prescribe her medications. He has known her for so many years, and he treats her like an equal partner in her health care, and they have become good friends. Thank you for keeping her in your thoughts & prayers. Love & Hugs to you, from Sheila & I. Rich |
Sheila and Rich- you both are still in my prayers and I think of you everyday. I hope she is able to eat more things in her diet :love: |

Thank you so much for keeping us in your prayers and thinking of us everyday. So far, she can't handle anything new in her diet, but we have learned that it can take 3 years for LC to go into remission, and we believe, her MS is interfering with it. Love & Hugs from Sheila & I. Rich |
Still praying for and thinking of you both always and wanted to tell you once again. Stand in courage and faith. (((Hugs))) to you both. |

You are always so very kind-your username truly fits you. Thank you for praying that Sheila's appt. with her DO in the morning, brings her relief. She is prepared with the form of oxycodone that does not contain acetaminophen. She cannot take NSAIDS, ibuprofen, or acetaminophen. God Bless you, for all of your prayers for YT members. Love & Hugs, Rich & Sheila |
Wishing you well and that your recovery will continue to go smoothly. Take care and stay strong !! |

Sheila had an 8:15 appt. with her DO this morning. It was very difficult for her to get ready-her back pain gets sky high, when she moves. She discussed taking oxycodone with him. He is always open to her requests. She is allergic to codeine, but she can't take Ibuprofen, Acetaminophen, NSAIDS, due to her Lymphocytic Colitis. But he was willing to let her try a small dose of oxycodone-just 2.5 mg. every 6 hours, and if she showed the slightest allergy to stop immediately. (He knows she hates taking pills.) We are praying it doesn't cause her an allergic reaction, and it provides her some pain relief. Rich |
Sheila and Rich, I am happy to hear the doctor gave you a pain med and I pray to our Lord that you don't have an allergy to it. I will keep you in my prayers and thoughts for you to have relief and get stronger. Love and Hugs, Dyan |
I'm hoping and praying that medication will help her. I have often severe itching from pain medication so I only take small parts of the pills a little at a time. If I take a whole half of a pill I can itch horribly. Plus it gives me a headache and nausea! Maybe she can try taking only a piece or portion of a pill IF the pill comes in a form that can safely be cut up, which your pharmacist can tell you. I hope she can eat something and get some strength. Can she drink Ensure or Bolthouse Farms Protein Plus and their other nutrition drinks and things like that? I've heard Bolthouse Farms makes delicious drinks loaded with nutrition. |

Thank you so much for praying to Our Lord that Sheila doesn't have an allergy to the oxycodone. She is following her DO's advice, and starting the medication at a very low dose-just 2.5 mg. It is a member of the codeine family and Sheila is very allergic to codeine. But her DO knows she is in a great deal of pain, and he knows she recognizes the symptoms of allergy, very quickly. Thank you for continuing to keep her in your prayers. Love & Hugs from Sheila & I. Rich |

Hi, Jeanie. Thank you, our so dear friend for hoping & praying the medication will help Sheila. Sheila is very allergic to codeine, and oxycodone is a member of the codeine family, so her DO was cautious about prescribing it. But he knows she is in a great deal of pain, and he knows that Sheila is very careful, when starting a new medication. He advised her to cut a 5 mg. pill in half, and he knows she will be very observant for any allergic reactions. So, this afternoon, I used her pill cutter and cut a 5 mg. pill in half.(thankfully, the tablet is scored, so it can easily be cut in half with a pill cutter.) So far, so good. The only thing she noticed is that she became very thirsty, and she felt some nausea. But, she hadn't had anything to eat but some Cream of Rice made with water. She itched like crazy and her hands swelled so much on codeine, that she couldn't get her wedding ring off. No, I'm sorry to say that she can't drink any of the nutritional drinks. :( I *think* if the oxycodone doesn't cause her any allergic reactions, she may be able to eat more-although her diet must remain the same, until the time the LC goes into remission. I'm so hoping that Sheila has a good night with less pain. I'll be praying that happens. |
I haven't forgotten either of you for a minute, I so hope the oxycodone will give Sheila some relief from her pain and also allow her to eat small amounts of food allowed on her diet to nourish her body. God Bless you both and may the Dear Lord keep you safe in his arms. |

Thank you-I hadn't thought of cutting the 2.5 in half. She took 2.5 this morning, and it enabled her to go to the dentist with me, but she was very nauseous, and staggering. They know at our dental office that Sheila has MS, and one of the Tech's quickly took her other arm, and walked her slowly to the exam room, and grabbed a chair for her. She hasn't experienced any itching, so we're very hopeful, that she will be able to tolerate the oxy. It makes her very sleepy. It wears off, and then, she is in pain again, but she said, a few hours of pain relief, feels like Heaven to her. Thank you for praying for her-you are so vry dear to us. We continue to pray, each night to Our Lady of Lourdes for you. Love & Hugs from Sheila & I. Rich |
