Also, I wanted to let you know, you have NO IDEA how much the research for the Neurologist's name and information helped my Son to be able to speak up and fight the hospital authorities these past few days. Jason brought your post up with Dr. J. Gebel's information to use as ammunition and demanded they contact him or a neurologist with equal qualifications. This is when we first heard they would bring in Dr. Susana Bowling, who knows and consults with Dr. Gebel. I also realized she's the neurologist who's seeing another relative with brain damage and I've been very impressed with her in his case since July.

Many were there for me instantly and helped me through my worst fears with thoughts, prayers, and shared their own stories. I'm so grateful to everyone, I know it helped calm me down at that time, I knew I was not alone. :)

I was more worried when my Son read me your post because I knew you were going through so much with your father. I'm so happy to know he's now home with you and his grandsons, and will continue to pray for his health to improve. ;)
BTW, my BF helped me put Yazmin's PJ's on her last night, she's still wearing them and is cuddled next to now...sound a sleep.

I am very happy I was able to do SOMETHING!!! Working long distance is difficult....I am thrilled Jason was able to use ANYTHING I gave him, to facillitate your care! It is hard for "regular people" to step up into a doctors face and demand a loved one gets the proper standard of care for any condition they have....Jason did a wonderful job!! Dont ever let 'em see you sweat, Jason!! Take a deep breath and tear into it! Anytime I can help.......

How wonderful to come home from a nasty day at work, turn on YT and see that you are home! We were all so worried about you. Your son did a stand-up job with the updates...he is a gem! Get some rest Carla, do what they tell you to get well, we are here if/when you need us. Give Yasmin a kiss from all of us! So happy you are home with Yasmin where you belong! Of course prayers continue for your speedy recovery.

I just loved this and it is so true. I wonder if there is a nurse uniform in Yazmin's size. I am so relieved to hear that you are home with Yaz curled up next to you. Sending prayers for a speedy and complete recovery.

I just now saw this thread and so sorry I wasn't here to pray for you, but I will be praying now...for your full and total recovery! Hugs to you! I'm so sorry you went through such an awful scare! What a wonderful son you have!

Have they set up your home health physical therapy sessions yet? I think instead of you going to rehab facility, they agreed to set up physical therapy for you at home.....be sure you do this!! They should have given you a social worker, a case manager, when you were in the hospital, who is setting this up for you.....

No kidding. They are usually activated upon discharge, calling frequently and going after stroke patients the day they are discharged and if not, by the next morning. I've heard they really stay on you until you call back and get them scheduled ASAP.

Thank you everyone for checking in on me and your continued thoughts and prayers, you have no idea how much I appreciate your concern. :) I would also like to Thank those of you who sent Christmas cards as well. It was so touching to wake up one evening while I was still in the hospital to see my son had all the adorable Yorkie Cards hanging up on the wall. It truly brought tears of joy to my eyes. ;)
I wish I could address each of you personally but my ongoing headache and dizziness will only let me look at the screen for a few minutes at a time without making it worse! I can write a few lines and then have to look away from the screen for awhile.The Doctors said this may last as long as a month. :( I'm checking into the Dragon program Yorkiemom1 suggested, I believe it will help tremendously! In the meantime, I'm going to have my son, Jason come by and hook up my laptop to my 42" flat screen TV in my bedroom. I'll be able view the screen from a distance which may help some also.

I do have an appointment with Physical and Speech Therapy next Thursday, an appointment with my Doctor to discuss a PICC line because of my horrible veins and then an appointment with the Neurologist the middle of March. Until then... I assume I'll be spending a lot more time on YorkieTalk getting to know everyone even better! :)
