PLEASE Pray for my 2 year old son!

Thank you everyone from the bottom of my heart, for all the YAY's and well wishes and prayers.
Sammie finally went to sleep this morning at 3:30 AM. He is still having trouble sleeping. Does anyone have any suggestions on getting him to rest? Even after he went to sleep he's woken up about 5 or so times, once crying, I think maybe he had a bad dream.

Hi Tracy,
I just wanted to say that I too will be in prayer for your dear little Sammy. Chiari surgeries are much more common now, and generally have very good outcomes. Still, it's so scary to face any surgery if it involves your own precious son. My son just had his second brain surgery at John's Hopkins last August. It's amazing what neurosurgeons are doing these days. Neuro medicine has come so far. I'm glad you shared with us. We are a close knit community here, and although our common interest is Yorkies, many times you find others who have similar issues and can lend support, hugs and prayer. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help. I'm always here if you need to talk. When our world is out of control, our God is still in control. He wouldn't bring Sammy this far to leave him now. He has mighty plans for that little man. Someday Sammy will have a mighty testimony that will lead others to a saving knowledge of our Lord. I believe that with all my heart. Let us know how things are going. Hugs!

Have you trued a reflux wedge or if its an option a mechanical bed that you can adjust to him?

Really worked wonders getting my two to sleep longer through the night, along with no food 2 hours priir and only acid controlling snacks later in the evening.

My 8 year old has his turtle that makes stars on tge ceiling, so does baby, baby still uses heart beat lamb.

After a ton of natural sounds CDs we found of all thing bag pipe CD's (read it in our Scientific America mag) work the best for relaxation and insomnia.

Milo's mexhanical bed also vibrates...he loves it but at this point its unplugged on school nights or he starts playing earthquake survival pretend at bed time...no matter where I hide the remote, he finds it!!!!

Your doctor can actually write an rx for the bed and depending on your insurance it maybe or even partially covered. For use it wasn't...but it is a tax write off we just retain the receipt & RX.

Bummed to know now there are actually medical RX covered wedges as well.

Oh if you do get a wedge buy some industrial vencro and attach the wedge directly to the mattress, trust me huge diff. I should have thought of it in the get go. Fit right inder the bed pad we use cotton allergy waterproof covers rather than fitted sheets.

LoL Vaissaides is the name of the subdivision.

Well I know that CA is a long way from MI but I lived in southern CA for a few years and dang if I know where Humboldt State is but you know those self absorbed people from So Cal we thought we hung the moon guess I can googgle it, but I bet it is north of LA

The real Nor Cal is Humboldt hour and a half from OR.

So Cal ppl call the Bay Area Nor Cal lol...we have the only other Bay in CA, Humboldt Bay we're the rainforrest where the Redwoods grow.

I just want everyone to know that I am so touched by all the prayers, love and support that we have been receiving on this thread. I have been looking into every single doctor and or item suggested.
I have had to take a step back a few times as it has become so overwhelming at times.
Also I read some of the comments to Samuel and after I finish he looks at me and says "I Sammie" lol.
Jacqui you are officially a Ti Ti ( auntie ) now lol... I told him what you wrote and then showed him Jersey's picture and he said and I quote.. Ti Ti puppy ooohhhh she tute (cute).
We've had a few rough days this week, but we are still praying and holding on.

Thank you so very much. Just the thought of surgery ferries me because he is so small so young. If I could take the surgery for him I would do it in a heart beat. How is your son doing now? May I ask how old he was for his surgeries? I agree with you, I just KNOW Samuel will have an awesome testimony. I told my husband a few nights ago that Sam has a gift and I don't know the full scope of it, but this baby is going to be used for Gods Glory. Thank you so much for sharing about your son.
