| I'm so sorry Rhonda I will pray for this situation to finally be resolved. You and your poor Alex have been through so much and God will continue to give you strength and patience until his knee finally clears up.

| Hoping & praying you can get Alex referred to them ASAP just to be safe. May not be anything but with his history, you can't take a chance. Keep us posted & stay strong. These things can be very slow & hard to conquer but with good care, they are.

I will come back another time to check on Alex and hope to hear all is well. The trials in life are never over but through all my years I have found, when the going gets tough and trials befall me, God oversees my every need and I feel Jesus carrying me through it all each time. I am praying God will give you comfort to ease your worry and you will be led to the right Dr. To help Allex get through this. Hugs, and a big sweet kiss for Alex. Patti and Jack | |

| Oh Rhonda I am so sorry that Alex is still having problems with his knee. I think the Wound Care Doctor and a Infectious Disease Doctor should both be consulted. Prayers will certainly still continue for Alex.

| Well, here we go with the medical world again!! Wound care will not see us because the "wound" is close now. They said I needed to see an Ortho. Well I can't see an Ortho without a referral. And I can't get a referral unless from my PCP. And my PCP wants me to go through my surgeon. Who happens to be out of town until July 3! So I ask if another surgeon will see us. The girl says she will have to have the nurse call me. Well it is 8:46 pm and my phone isn't ringing!! Oh Lord will this ever end!

| I'd head over to the ER, Staph infections are hard to clear up, so the sooner the better... (that is what he had the last time?)

| Well that is what we THINK it was but according to the tissue sample it tested negative for staph. They said it was "just some other infection". It is not so much infection that has me concerned this time. It is what could be scar tissue build up. It is hard to explain. Almost like a "bump" or something on his knee. My friend who is a nurse don't feel like it is an emergency but felt he needs to be seen just in case. My concern is that I don't want it to be left like the last time. If it is something, I want it handled now BEFORE it gets bad.

| Thank you for the prayers. No, that is the weird thing. It looks red but it is absolutely cool to the touch. I have been checking it a lot! I would go to the ER but I know the will not do anything for me. The last time we went we sat in the hospital until Monday when my surgeon came in. He is out of town right now and I really don't want to be in there waiting on him if it is not an emergency. My friend who is a nurse thinks it is not an emergency situation but felt he needs to be seen to make sure there isn't anything going on that shouldn't be. She thinks my son needs an MRI to make sure there is nothing there. Well, the surgeon will have to set this up for me. So I am at a waiting game at this point. If it gets worse, my pediatrician will definitively see us.

| It does seem like if you explain to the that it is urgent that he is seen..that even with your surgeon being gone until July 3, someone else in the practice should take his emergency patients!! I am so sorry you are having to go through this! I don't blame you for not wanting to wait until he gets back in town. I am definitely keeping you and Alex in my thoughts and prayers!! You have had your hands quite full lately, and I know you are ready for everything to just be normal again! |
