I pray the swelling is just a symptom of the potential hyperthyroidism. Mine still swells up a bit, and so does my father's (we both have had hyperthyroidism and never had them removed). I had a severe case, but my thyroid did not produce a goiter in my neck. Instead, it grew "arms" toward my chest/shoulders.

I pray the ultrasound brings Ken and you good news.

I've been thinking of you Patti and just wanted to check in. Any word yet on the results of the ultrasound?

Ken's doctor called and said his thyroid looked normal and the swollen nodes are not from the thyroid so his oncologist will discuss that with us Thursday. He said he still needs to go to the endocrinologist tomorrow since his blood work indicated hyperthyroisism. He said the swollen lymph nodes may or may not be related to the lung cancer and that his oncologist would go over that with us. So we have to wait and pray that it isn't cancer related. Thanks for the continued prayers we need them so badly.

Just seeing this and will be praying extra hard for Ken. My niece had other lumps in her neck when she was having treatment for lymphoma years ago and they were some type of reaction to her treatment - hoping that is all Ken's are. Please keep us updated when you can and give yourself and Ken an extra hug tonight from us all!
