At least now he will have more medical pros looking after him, and overall a better chance at getting things done.

It breaks my heart to think of doctors allowing Ken to get this thin, when a feeding tube could have helped keep him nourished and hydrated.

Of course I don't know all the facts but am so sad to see them go through this. I went through it with my husband 3 years ago and know all to well what it is like to try to stay strong and move ahead when you are scared to death. Bless them both.

Also, bless the rest of you who have been touched by cancer personally or in a loved one. Lets also remember to pray that we will see the day that there is a cure for cancer so others won't suffer like this in the future.

I have talked with Patti several times in the last hour. Ken is now in a room and he is having so much diarrhea and happens often. They are wondering if it could be c-diff and Patti asks them when they will know that and no one seems to know. Good grief. They gave him some anti nausea drug in the ER that has not helped and I told her she should ask for phenergan gel which is rubbed on the wrists and normally works very well. That poor man and poor Patti. I'm quite upset with the fact that Patti's sister took off for Tennessee when she should have stayed to be a support system for Patti. Patti called one of her friends to ask her to come sit with her, but that friend was too busy. She's trying to get ahold of her daughter, but no answer or reply to text. What is wrong with people? That's what friends and family are for...to lend support. I just wish I was there. Patti may drive home to check on and feed her babies and then head back to the hospital. I'll update when there is news and yorkiemini...I am going to read her your post. Thanks to everyone for your prayers and concern.

OMG I wish I was closer I'd so be up there with Patti. I tell you when peopel go thru things like it really shows you who your friends are.

THIS IS SO TRUE. I have learnt who family and friends are these past years.One thing for sure, many here at YT are special, many times over are one anothers rock. I LOVE YT Families.

Patti, Please don't hesitate for a minute, I sleep with my cell phone by my pillow and am only a phone call away no matter what time it is during the night, am awake many times through the night and want you to know I am here if you feel the want to call.

THANKFULL Ken has been admitted. Praying they will be overseeing his medical needs and be on top of his care.

Thanks so much for the great support. Ken's test for c diff was negative, thank God. So they gave him some Imodium and that has helped. I went home to feed my babies and snuggle with them for a few minutes. NowI'm back at the hospital and Ken is finally sleeping. I may stay for awhile and go home and try and sleep and gt back early tomorrow. Maybe a doctor will show up. My sister talked to my daughter and she told her Ken was in the hospital so she called and will come back tomorrow if Ken is no better and Friday at the latest. Ken is on an infection protocol so no fresh fruit or flowers, no visitors who are sick because his white cells are low or high I can't remember which now. I mentioned that about 10 days ago our daughter came own with strep throat after she had been over visiting and she had her dad try a new flavored water. She took a drink and then had him try it. So the nurse said she would mention it to the doctor. I have never seen this dr they keep talking about I wonder where he hides out!

Dear Connie how can I ever repay you for always being there for me. As well as all of my YT family. I can always come on here and feel the love and support and gain the strength to fight another day. Thank you thank you thank you. I will update tomorrow when hopefully a doctor will show up.

So sorry to hear what you are going through,stay positive. I lost my darling husband 5 years ago to cancer, I so know how you are feeling. I have volunteered at the local hospice for the last three years it is great to feel that you are at least doing something. Stay strong and hug your kids and pets lots. :

Thank you Patti, Connie and Patti for posting updates for us. I worried and prayed all night until I could check in again this morning. I so wish one of us lived closer so we could come sit with you and Ken. Please know we're there with you in thought and spirit.

Patti you and Ken are in my prayer's, I am no stranger to cancer, I know it is very hard on you watching your loved one being sick and in pain. Just know we think of you each and every day . and are praying for you and Ken. If I lived closer I would come and sit with you and Ken. It help's to talk to people that has been through this. Hope your family is by your side while you are going through this. Your babies will give you much needed support and comfort while you are going through this so hug them when you can.

I was so glad to read C Diff test was negative. Prayes still going out for Ken.

Thanks everyone. Ken is about the same today. Not wanting to eat. Of course I have been here since 7:30 this morning and my daughter took half day off work to help me. We leave to grab a bite to eat and the oncologist's doctor came while we were gone. They did Ken's ct scan this morning. I asked the nurse to page the doctor because I needed to talk to him. They have paged him twice since 1:00 and he hasn't called the room yet. So I cant leave. My daughter said she'd go feed the dogs and stay with them awhile and then bring up Ken's kool aid, the only thing he will drink. So that helped a lot. The nurse read me the drs notes and he said to push fluids hard, keep up the anti nausea meds and decide whether to stop chemo due to such a weakened state even though ct scan showed stable. So I think Once I get all the info from the doctor we will stop chemo and leave it in God's hands. I am praying he can remain stable for awhile and get back some quality of life. He has been sleeping all day today but still not eating. If we could only get him wanting to eat he may have a fighting chance. Everyone here seems to not want to put in a feeding tube. I want the oncologist to tell me why not. Thanks again I just couldn't get through this with out all your help and support. The many kind offers of help and phone numbers to call if needed mean the world to me.
