Oh, Patti, I am so terribly, terribly sorry. My heart breaks for you and for Ken. We will keep you both in our prayers and will ask others as well. God bless you both.

Patti, I have already begun saying prayers for Ken. I pray that God will lay His healing hand on Ken's body and give him a miracle. I also pray that God will give you the strength to endure what is facing you. With God, all things are possible. Take one day at a time.

Thanks. Ken had the biopsy and cath put in today. The surgeon came out and said he was only able to get one lymph node out, I think it was the swollen one, and it was cancer. Not sure how he knew but I guess they have a good idea. Ken is resting but very uncomfortable. His breathing is getting worse and he can not sleep laying down. His bone scan is tomorrow and the oncologist appt wednesday. Then we go to the surgeon on Monday for a follow up and a Pet scan later in the day. All of this is very wearing on Ken. The hospital is an hour a way and I am going to see if we can get any treatment done closer to home. Thanks Jodi for all your valuable information. I can see why you said it is best to have the treatment close to home. Please keep the prayers going as we have quite a battle ahead of us. We need a miracle.

So very sorry Patti...i hate cancer...I lost my dad to pancreatic cancer when he was just 53 years old....i will pray for you to have your miracle..they do happen....my mom is a living miracle...Someday i should share her story..but in the meantime i will continue to pray for you and your hubby...hang in there!:)

This must be so scary for the both of you... Will keep you both in my thoughts and prayers.. hope that Ken gets some relief from the discomfort soon. It is amazing what doctors are capable of with God's help ... it sounds like they are being aggressive and doing everything they can in a timely manner. Hugs to ya Patti.

I'm so very sorry, Patti. It will be a long road ahead for you both, but God will not put more on you both than you can handle. Keep the faith. I will continue to say prayers for Ken. Miracles still happen.

Patti, still praying for you and Ken. Miracles can happen with prayer.
I'm so glad you talked to Jodi, she is the best!! Talk to your insurance company, mine gave me a travel allowance .. It applies to treatment that is 60 miles away. They cover car rental, hotel, gas food etc... That may help.
