Continued prayers for Ken and you. Please keep yourself strong. |
Still sending prayers and hugs to you and Ken. |
Praying hard for you both, and sending hugs and love your way... |
Patti, continuing to pray for Ken and you every day, praying for good news and for Ken to feel better. |
Patti just checking in to see how Ken is doing? Prayers still being said for him. |
Ken had his first Chemo treatment today. I had a very difficult time getting him there. He was so weak and didn't want to do it. His BP was 79/60 and the doctor talked to us for about 20 minutes. Ken told him he felt too weak for treatment. The doctor said he could get a cat scan tomorrow or Monday and if the results showed the cancer hadn't grown or spread he could hold off for a week or two. He really didn't want to postpone it since he felt the cancer was also making him weak and waiting he may be in worse shape. They decided to give him fluids and see if is BP came up,which it did to 99/70 so they went ahead with the treatment. The main problem is getting Ken to eat more so they gave him a prescription for Lidocane to numb his throat a little. I was so frustrated when we were talking to the doctor that I broke down. I told him Ken won't take the medicines they prescribed to help with stress and constipation and he won't take the Ensure. He again told him why he needed to build himself up. The medicine they gave him prior to the treatment to reduce nausea and relax him worked great. He was so much better during the treatment. I told him that we had the same medicines at home so he is now going to take them. I am hoping he gets a good night sleep tonight and we will wait and see what side effects surface. Thanks for the support and prayers. |
Patti, I haven't posted here before but I have been reading all the updates and have been keeping you both in my prayers. |
Patti, my heart goes out to you and Ken. I pray that he can get some relief swallowing so that he can at least keep his fluids up and get some nutrition in him. |
patti I am praying as hard as I know how for you and your Ken. Hang in there, we have to have faith !! |
I am very sorry to hear what you and your husband are going through. My heart goes out to the both of you. Something that I try and remember is found in the scriptures Revelation 21:4 says And He (God) will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away. I will keep you and your husband in my thoughts and prayers and I hope this scripture will give you hope that there will be a day when no one will ever have to deal with any sickness or pain again. |
Patti I am hoping today is a better day for you and Ken. I hope he is able to take the medicine to relax him and ease his nausea. Sending prayers for strength and to ease his discomfort. |
Thanks! Ken has been doing pretty good since the chemo. No new issues so far. His throat is the main problem. He has a CT scan scheduled for next Wednesday which we are nervous about. Praying that tumors have shrunk and no new ones have appeared. Thanks again for the support. |
Sending you loves and prayers! |
Patti, I think of you and Ken daily. I hope you are taking care of yourself. Sending prayers and good thoughts for Ken. |
My thoughts and my prayers are with you. I pray that you both stay strong and that together you will conquer this horrible disease. I'm so sorry for all that you are going through. I hope that Ken's pain eases and that he gets better each day. |
