| No Longer a Member | Well, the blood work came back and his numbers arent good. His glucose levels were high so he's back a the vet getting an UA to rule out diabeties. But there were a couple other numbers that looked bad, which the vet said are in relation to his liver. He's going to email me the results and I'll post to see if anyone has any idea what could be happening based on past experiences. The vet has Fatso for the day, and will be running some additional tests. On the plus side, he has been looking much better, he actually hopped over the baby gate I had up to keep Rizzo out of his personal space while he healed. So he is at least improving, just have to wait for more tests to find out for sure what was causing the lethargy. |

| Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | When my fifteen year old cat started showing signs of liver failure, my vet put her on Denosyl and Marin. It was miraculous how she perked up, and she made it to age 18. You might want to discuss these mess with your vet. |

| No Longer a Member | Awe he is feeling a lot better today, I chalk it up to the nice big poop he left in his litter box for me. I've been waiting for a healthy sized one to come out of him, he only went once and it was just a teeny bit. I brought it up with the vet who was concerned but also said since he isn't vomiting it may just be a side effect of the sedatives from earlier this week and the drugs he's on right now. But, finally, a nice good poop. Now Fatso is all stretched out, taking up 2 couch cushions he seems to be feeling much better. I still need to figure out how to get a urine sample, the vet said his bladder didn't fill up all day long! so now it's on me. I checked the store but all they had was clumping litter and I need the non clumping kind that I'll be able to get some liquid from. It'll definitely be a *yuck* moment for me, but whatever I gotta do.Sorry for the gross update, it's the little things like poop that make me happy, lol. |

| Any more news on Fatso? Test results? |

| No Longer a Member | Well, Fatso has returned to normal...I dropped of the urine yesterday so I should be getting results today to rule out diabetes. The vet is suspecting that he got into something he shouldn't have and it caused a very upset tummy, but he isn't definate yet. If the UA comes back normal, I think we'll run another blood test to make sure that whatever was causing a system upset is out of his system, if the liver numbers are still off then further testing is going to be done. But as of right now, he appears to be back to his normal self, which I don't want to jinx by saying he's nice and healthy again. Cat's are really good at acting healthy when they're not. Fingers crossed that the UA is normal, diabetes would be just terrible for him |

| That sounds great! I hope the UA and the blood test, if you have one done, come back with good results.

| I just read your thread. My but Fatso is one handsome cat! I hope it was just something he got into and is feeling all better now and you are too! I had to laugh about the poop check. Best wishes to you, Fatso and Rizzo.
