Thank you all for your continued prayers. Today is Michelle's 38th birthday. She was an April Fool baby and she fooled me by coming 3 weeks early.

Michelle is still at home but not feeling well. She talked to her doctor yesterday and he wanted her to go to the ER so they could check her out and run more tests but Michelle did not want to since today was her birthday. She is planning on going tomorrow or Friday. I told her she should go now but she just wants to wait. I know she gets frustrated at having to spend so much time at the ER and the hospital.

My heart aches for all of you. I cannot imagine the pain & frustration she has gone through & continues to do so. I do not blame her one bit to have a day (especially a birthday) of not being poked & prodded. As I said in my earlier post, we continually keep all of you in our prayers. And please wish her a Happy Birthday for us. Sheila

I hope that Michelle has had a good birthday. I understand why she didn't want to spend her birthday in the ER - shoot I don't even want to go to work on my birthday, let alone the hospital. Praying she gets there tomorrow & that it is a quick turn around & she can be back home

Michelle went to the ER at Ben Taub hospital at 4:30 this morning. She has been experiencing increasing pain in the abdominal area the last few days. Plus she has not been able to hold down food. The doctors ran a CT scan and it showed that Michelle has an infection in the area of her abdomen where the end of the shunt is. David also said she has some sort of blockage but he was not sure where. Michelle's head doctor is working with the stomach doctor to decided what the best course of action will be. For now they treating her with antibiotics but if that does not work then they will do surgery. They also put a pic line in Michelle so it will be easier for her to get her meds and iv fluids. Your continued prayers are so much appreciated.

Checking back in again and posting once more my prayers and good wished for Michelle. My "go to first unread" brought me to good news, but then as I read, the roller coaster ride started again. Your entire family has been through so much, for so long. I am amazed at the strength you all seem to have in getting through it all.
My thoughts and prayers are still with you and Michelle...........
