| Lots of very good breeders down your way. In the Houston and San Antonio area. Go to the YTCA.org breeder referral page....I can vouch for all of them, since I know them personally.

| we had no problems with Kaylee and frankly I never paid much attention to that...what I was looking for was a well adjusted pup who had been loved and socialized from birth...and we went to her home to pick her up and saw how she loves her pups,,,,I know it's a lot of money to spend but my feeling has always been that no one can really gaurentee what you are getting health wise..its like kids...Now originally I had put my deposit on a boy named Noah but Maddelena contacted me and said he had developed a skin condition and she wouldn;t sell him to me because of that...she wanted him to stay in san antonio incase she needed to take him back to care for him..then we chose Kaylee who was about 400.00 more but she has been well worth every penny.

Most reputable breeders do not sell their girls for a higher price than boys. Why? Supply and demand. Especially if you sell on a spay/nueter contract. As you say good breeders make sure their pups are well socialized and well adjusted. That's why they don't let them go to their new homes at a minimum before 12 weeks of age and weighing 2 pounds. They must have a minimum of 2 innoculations and have been vet checked and had all the required testing performed.....YTCA breeders are mandated to do this in their code of conduct and ethics.

| Contacted a few, but wanted $1200. I am not looking for a show dog, just a nice family pet. Don't mind to spend the money, but not over $1000. |

| It's hard to find a pet Yorkie in this area...I got lucky with one of mine and she needed to be re-homed, the previous owners had papers but she was just too big for there 2lb, 2yr old so they liked everything about me and that she would have a sister only a few days younger then her and knew she would be well taken care of with my whole history and my regular vet visits. |

I stand behind my puppies 100% regardless if a guarantee is involved or not. Yes, I do have prices set for boys /girls differently and that does not make me a un-reputable breeder. I respect YTCA members just as I do show or hobby breeders , and I get the feeling that because we are not members we are on the lower scale?? I have seen Bad breeders all around so I would say word of mouth is the best it is. | |

| I found my dog in a greensheet. I wasn't looking for a show dog so I can run around with it at Madison Square Garden. I just wanted a buddy to hang out with, and pick up chicks with. I live in Northwest Houston, and I drove all the way down to Dickinson to go pick him up. |
