Most reputable breeders do not sell their girls for a higher price than boys. Why? Supply and demand. Especially if you sell on a spay/nueter contract.

As you say good breeders make sure their pups are well socialized and well adjusted. That's why they don't let them go to their new homes at a minimum before 12 weeks of age and weighing 2 pounds. They must have a minimum of 2 innoculations and have been vet checked and had all the required testing performed.....YTCA breeders are mandated to do this in their code of conduct and ethics.

I'm not a YTCA member and even tho not mandated to follow any code of conduct /ethics I have choose to give the proper socialization, health care just as any of you do.
I stand behind my puppies 100% regardless if a guarantee is involved or not.
Yes, I do have prices set for boys /girls differently and that does not make me a un-reputable breeder.
I respect YTCA members just as I do show or hobby breeders , and I get the feeling that because we are not members we are on the lower scale?? I have seen Bad breeders all around so I would say word of mouth is the best it is.
