Lizzy was born in Indiana too! There was a place in Alpharetta that sold Yorkies, westies, dorkies, maltese and maybe one or two other small breeds. They also trained dogs, I think. I'm pretty sure Lizzy is from a puppymill. I do have her registered with the AKC, but her pedigree doesn't have any notable dogs, certainly no champions.

I'm a Georgia yorkie mom,too. I recently got my second one, a little boy. He was in a bad situation and I really wasn't looking for another baby. Sometimes things happen for a reason and we are led where we are needed most. He was left all day long tied to a cage with WalMart big dog food to eat. He is 1 1/2 yrs old and was at the vet only for his puppy shots...no heart worm prevention or wormed. He is mine now and we are gonna fix this skinny guy up!

That is truly fate and I believe he was meant to be with you! So glad the little guy got so lucky.

Everybody babies are adorable!!! I'm going to post him soon. He's a bit matted and overgrown in areas. We have been out most of the day getting him a harness, dual lead so he can walk with Sasha (her picture is to the left) and he went to the vet for shots and worming. He weighs a whopping 5.5 lbs. The vet says he isnt skinny, but I feel bones down his back, ribs and hips. Think he's too skinny? Sasha is a bit of a fatty and we just bred her about 2 weeks ago to a neighbors Yorkmont. Anybody impressed with them? I had never heard of them till they got theirs. Sorry to be so chatty but I'm excited about Rosco!!

Well, I'm guessing it's a bloodline(?) or lineage of yorkies. I've googled them and found breeders of yorkmonts...some in Georgia. This dog we bred Sasha with has small, tight ears and more red than silver in his coat. He's tiny with short little legs, but in proportion to his body. His owner says they run $1800 if you buy them to breed or $1000 if you have them fixed. I guess they're pretty particular about who breeds they're dogs, and I don't blame them about caring. I raised yorkies years ago and things sure have changed.

I live in Kennesaw, I have 3 yorkies, 1 female and 2 males. The boys have the same parents but are from different litters. The boys have Yorkmont yorkies in their breeding. Both of their doggie parents are descendants of Yorkmont breeders. Of course I didn't remember this until I asked my breeder about Yorkmont. It doesn't matter to me I just LOVE all 3 of them.
