| ![]() I have wanted a Yorkie for a very long time...but financially I cannot afford to spend the hundreds that many breeders are asking (not that they are not worth it). I'm not interested in "champion" blood lines, have no plans to breed, or show, or anything like that. I just love the dogs and think a Yorkie would make a great addition to our family. I just missed out on a beautiful little girl by all of 30 minutes. Her family came on hard times (legitimate, real, story...I personally know these people) and had to let her and her brother go. Fortunately, the person who took her took her took her brother as well so she is still with family which is a good thing. I have been trying to find a rescue Yorkie or adopt-a-Yorkie rather than going through a breeder thinking it would be a cheaper route...Can I just say, so far EVERY ONE I HAVE HAD A RESPONSE FROM HAS BEEN A SCAM!!! They all want all my information but won't give me any of theirs, they have all had a death in the family or recently moved somewhere they cannot take their puppy, and they all get ticked off when I say forget it as soon as I realize the aren't local because suddenly they are in Florida, California, or some island. Is there any hope for finding a Yorkie for my family that is real, local, and not a fortune? |

| ![]() If you would post your price range, size, age that you are wanting, that would help greatly so that you could find a REAL person to get a nice Yorkie from. And also the general area that you are willing to travel to for your new baby. Good luck to you! |

| ![]() go through a reputable rescue organization, not just some ad in the paper or on craigslist. As another poster said. Post what you are willing to pay and give your location. check on puppyfind.com. contact breeders in your area and ask if they have any adults or larger puppies that they would sell for less. Many times the large puppies sell for much less, but are still very nice dogs. What the biggest concern for many breeders is, if you cannot affor $800 to buy one, how are you going to afford vet care if it gets sick or injured. |

| ![]() I am looking for under $200 which I know is close to impossible but the most I can swing right now and a stretch at that, no more than 6 months if possible, and around 100 miles from Atlanta roughly...Thank you for the advice.... |

| ![]() It would be very difficult to find a yorkie for that price. Even rescues normally charge more than that because of vet bills. Are you prepared for normal vet visits and heaven forbid accidents that need emergency vet care. I just spent $200 at the vet just for normal routine shots and stuff and that is NOTHING compared to what you will have to pay if something happens or it gets sick. There is a lot of other costs besides just purchasing the dog. Just keep that in mind and good luck.

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | ![]() Perhaps if you wait a little bit longer and save some more. It's not only 200.00 to purchase this baby, remember the vet bills, food, grooming... I wish you luck in your search for your new furbaby.

| ![]() Sorry but I really do not think you arein the financaial situation to afford a dog at this time. Food bils, vet bills if injured or ill in your care can be pretty high. Yorkies also need dental cleaning every so often from yearly to every couple of years. Many pets end up being surrendered the last year or so with the economy and owner cannot afford to keep the pet. |

| ![]() Geez my first vet bill was 200.00 , then you need flea preventative, more shots, heartworm pills... a bed , food toys.. honestly these little pups can cost ALOT Of money.. last week my puppy had a bout with pancreatitis, it was 500.00 in one day at the vet... please reconsider as they can really be costly..your puppy will need to see a vet for the puppy shots.. I know here where I live the visit was 56.00 then the shots and blood tests.. each visit was usually over a hundred.. then if they get sick, the vet bills and meds.. are you sure you are financially okay to have a dog right now?? ![]() I know even at a rescue up here in Massachusetts its can be close to 500.00-700.00 for a puppy the age you are requesting, but you have to remember, your puppy is coming to you with all its shots..spayed and neutered ( 300-500) here a couple months of flea preventative, several vets visits...

| ![]() I think everyone just wants to make sure you understand that a yorkie is a little more needy then other breeds not to mention the black hole of cloths ect. You get lost in LOL |
