I'm going to one in April around the 3rd week, but it's in St. Pete Fl. That's around spring bk, so Hotel are booking fast and not cheap. I don't think there is any spring bk in the month of May. But March and April are all spring bk months, and we may get the hotel a little cheaper.
I would like to know what part of Fl you want to do this and the month /dates.

The meetup we were talking about a couple of years back just did not pan out. Everyone is so financially guarded with the economy that extra trips are not always feasible. However, we in FL love to get our yorkies out. Recently, Melbourne, Fl has a small stretch of beach we can take our furbabies too. Mine have gone over a half a dozen times and they are really beginning to love it. I highly suggest getting a doggie stroller or human one and taking your little ones out and about. Mine where a harness and I click shortened leashes inside the stroller so they can put their paws up on the rim like a hood ornament and enjoy the sights and sounds. It really helps keep them socialized. Share any ideas you may have for other FL furbabies. Mary
