It does not look like too many people are ready to make the commitment. I think staying over night makes it very difficult for people to attend and perhaps it would work better for different areas or counties to hold a yorkie park day if they have a dog park and see if they can just get the local YT members to come. A beautiful park here use to be my favorite and is now closed to dogs and most of the parks have small designated fenced areas. It is getting very difficult. This meet up really sounded like a great idea and you have done such a swell job trying to put it together. I am in complete understanding of rescheduling it for a time that may be more economically advantageous or whatever in the future. Let me know if it somehow comes together. Please withdraw my RSVP officially so it will provide a CLEAR response to your posting to reschedule. I would have gone even though it was a struggle. So many wonderful YT members have helped me through rough times and I see them help others. I also appreciate when fraud is evident that they act decisively. I would have enjoyed meeting some of these chatters in person to meet the faces behind the hearts and all the furbabies that we work so hard to protect and love. Another time and job well done!. Hi I almost forgot about the Florida group. I was reading about possibly meeting up with a group in Florida too. I get my new gold male yorkie in 12 weeks so hopefully if it's later in the year he can come too

I'm hope Irene turns soon, I have my daughter and my grandchildrens out in NY , and I'm praying all will be well.
They were here in Orlando for a month and left last Mon, she was worry about us in Florida and look now.
Make sure you get all you might need during this strom and stay indoor.
I have been in 5 Hurricane, since we moved to Florida in 2004 , and I learn something new every time.
Before my 2nd storm I got a small tv/radio with batteries, I got one at walgreen at that time for 19.99 that help alot.
I also got lots of candle and I froze my water bottle in case the elect went out. I also fill up all my bath tubs with water and some of my cooking pans. and I got a hand held can opener and a few flashlights with extra batteries in case the elct is off for a while. And you need to buy enough food for you, family and pets. You need to buy food you can eat without heating them or putting them in the ref. And dont forget your meds , for you and your pets, make sure you have enough for a few days. Dont forget your wine and cheese , maybe we can all sleep thru it !!!!!

Did I really just miss a meet up????????

I got redirected to this thread after logging on to an OLD email account that i haven't been on in over 2000+ emails ago And that's where i came across this....WTH???? I get on here often, usually when good/bad thread are goign on, WTH???? I'm so mad at myself.
First I'll need to figure out how to change my address to one i current;y am using.

You didn't miss anything. I think it was just postponed.

You should try that meet up site; there's always a lot of Yorkies that go to the events but I'm not certain how many from there are also here. I'd like to see a group started a little closer to me here in Ocala; the closest one is Tampa/St Pete & that's quite a haul for me.

Sorry for the mix-up, orlnurse ( Lesley ) put a invite to the orlando yorkshire terrier meetup group. Which I went for the first time and had a great time and the furbabies enjoy the meetup too .
It was nice meeting other yorkie parents and their babies , it was a very nice group. There was a few of us from YT.
Look up their web site and see if you want to join , I'm sure you may find a closer group by you.
Now you mention the April one (meet up ) Where ? when ?
I cant find one for April.
