It has got to be fun to have a whole bunch of Yorkies together in one place.
Oh wow!

So sorry you are having so many vet expenses and we all know how that is. We will miss seeing you and will be thinking and praying for healing of the eye. Mary

Just to add a note that some people may be willing to share the expense of a room. As we get closer, a lot of things may come to light that may help to accommodate all. Just a thought...

Thank You so much. She's my little sweetheart, "Gracie". She is such a girly-girl with her dresses. She lets me brush her and change her clothes. I have her mama too.

I can hardly pass up a really cute dress and I like some of the accessories. I make my own bows because I use so many. I like putting a little shirt on the boys with a male wrap and taking them in the stroller or over to a friend's house. I put a coordinating bow in the bows hair too and walk them that way with one in blue and maybe the other in green etc. I am still in the process of getting my males fixed and I have 2 girls left to fix. 8 yorkies in all. I rescued 6 this past year and ended up keeping 3 of them so now I have 8. 1 is Chad who is 8 months old and has a swallowing disorder and needs too much attention to adopt out. I took in the mamma when she was pregnant with 4 boys. The original owner wanted the puppies to sell when they were ready but Chad was too ill so he is with me and so is one of his brothers, Draco who has a birth defect as well. The original owner had the daughter of the pregnant mamma going through heat and this one pregnant and could not handle the hormonal fluctuations and had fallen in love with the daughter and no longer wanted the mamma and said she was vicious. She is the sweetest little gal. The original owner should never be in the breeding or raising of multiples because they just "don't get it". Anyway, I love dressing them up and love them all dearly. I am trying to get everyone fixed and plan to be done by the end of the year. I have to get Chad and Draco's mom fixed too. Separation and special clothing is working now and I am headed down the list of ending everyone's procreation inclinations... I see you have multiples as well. I had 2 of my originals from 30 years ago live to the ripe age of 17 and 1 at 17 1/2. I really appreciate the adults and love them like they were children with fur! Keep on enjoying yours for they are a joyous gift.

I wish I had more room to rescue. Maybe when we move. I have 4 babies. The oldest is an old dachshund. She is 13yrs. old named Candy. Then Rocky, he is 9yr. old Yorkie, Rosie is 4yrs old Yorkie (the mama) and Gracie her baby 11 1/2 months old. Rosie and Gracie are not fixed yet. Rosie will be next. I am scared to have Gracie as she is small, at least to me. She is 3.5 lbs. I be you have a ball with all the babies.
If you go to the meet-up, be sure to take pictures. Darlene

I try not to gravitate into conversations anymore when it concerns taking another one in. Once males are studs, they mark, females who are bred even if only once or twice are more difficult to handle when in heat and are more territorial and require a lot of supervision and intuition and 8 has maxed me out. The ones I have now are permanent. An elderly friend (also the previous breeder of the I rescued), is now threatening to have her stud who is turning 9 this year put to sleep because he has knew problems. I gave her metacam and she said she just doesn't have time for it and can't remember to give it to him. She also states that she is concerned it will harm his sperm and he is her best stud. The poor thing should never be allowed to do this and she claims that he has knee injuries not genetic knee problems and I think she has selective hearing when listening to the vet. She asked me to keep him while she goes up north for 2 months and when she comes home she will decide what to do. I love the little guy but I am taking "above average" vet care of these 8 and I just don't want to get to close to the situation or I will end up keeping him. I think he needs knee surgery. I admit I already obligated to keep him while she is gone. I will get him on the metacam and take care of him. But how will I be able to give him back if she is going to do something with him. I thought about taking him to her vet that she uses for her little "primadona" and making sure he knows that BamBam is their dog and getting him diagnosed and on med regiment and so when they next go in, he can speak to them about him. He can still have great quality of life. Anyway you can probably see how I get in these messes. I have talked to her until I feel like I am turning blue. They really need a lot of help but they do so many wrong dog things that it is difficult to manage any type of relationship. It is like dealing with someone who is wealthy and out of touch with reality. You know, I don't even know why I am telling you this. Sorry to unload. It is easy to recognize other folks that really love and respect their animals and I saw that by the way you post and provide pictures. You love your animals and probably feel similar sometimes and I guess that is what I may be sensing and responding too. I will figure this out. For over 2 months of taking care of 2 very ill little puppies, all she could do was ask when they would be well enough to sell, she needed the money. She did pay for some of the vet bills until they were 6 weeks old. They are too ill to adopt without finding someone with the finances, time, love and commitment to do so. I hate seeing them lose their families over and over. I feel the pain and have too much apathy. It is not healthy to have this much. Take care and thanks for listening.

I'm thinking this is not a good time for people to do a meet up. Does everyone want to reschedule?
