@ Karen- I've just always clicked on the particular forum I was interested in and then read down the list from there. Shrug. I still can't get the search function to work half the time either.

You need a PHD in Search to get that working!

Ditto here! The new posts are bolded. ADB: You showed me the Todays posts link... thanks... I still seem to be missing alot though!

Don't feel bad -- I didn't know or realize what the New Posts button was my first year either. I actually go back to just looking for threads in the particular forums a lot, like when the "New Posts" are full of GE or Game posts. Don't get me wrong -- I have nothing against either of those -- I love the GE -- I was like a kid at Christmas! I even have played an occasional game. But on days when I have limited time and want some yorkie posts, I just go to the forums instead of New Posts if they happen to be clogged with the others.

The search has never worked well for me either. I am usually stunned if it does work. I still try it every once in a while. But usually it doesn't come close to what I am looking for. Then out of the blue, it will give me a valid search result. Who knows -- has a mind of its own and I think it has an iron-clad contract or tenure, or it would have been fired long ago.

No, I'm not. Why would you say that? I've read the way you explain things, and you do a great job, and I have a hard time with it. I usually have to include a picture, because they have no idea what I mean. I was just joking about the rude part.

I know. I should have added a silly smiley or something. In person, I explain things like my dad, I walk around it before I get to the point. Written, I can proof read and get rid of the extra fluff.

For those who want to know how to get to the "New Posts" feature, click on the "YorkieTalk" banner at the top of the window. It'll take you to what I think is the YT homepage. On the left under the banner, there will be a User CP box where your avatar shows up. Under the avatar it says "You last visited:" and it has 2 links under that. "New Posts" and "Log out."

I really like the New Posts feature because you can see how much activity there is on YT. Right now, mine shows there are 319 new posts since the last time I checked. I also check the unanswered threads. There might be someone needing immediate help and no one has seen it yet because it isn't bumped it. I go there and bump it for them.
