Picture Posting Help

hello,
i need help, i have posted pics before with no problems, but i have been trying to add new pics its saying i have over exceeded my album size by 24.8kb. and i dont know how to go about resizing the pictures.Do i have to delete my other albums in order to gain more space or something?

please help.

Each album can contain so many pictures, and you can have a certain number of albums with the total amount of pictures fairly high. It will tell you where you upload the pictures how much space in an album is remaining. When an album gets too full, you can start a new album, or delete some of the pictures you no longer want. Yorkietalk automatically resizes many pictures, but says you will get better results if you do it yourself. Hi,
I am trying to post some pictures and I made sure they are 640 X 480 pictures but for some reason the file size is greater than 200KB. How can I fix this so I can post them?

There are different ways to save a picture, gif files, png files, jpeg, and jpg are all files that Yorkietalk accept, but jpeg, and jpg files compress pictures in the smallest size using the least amount of Kilobits (KB). So save your pictures in either jpg or jpeg files. Do you know the file type of the picture YT would not accept? I'm guessing it was a gif or png file.

Thank you for trying to help us with this problem, the file is a jpeg, and i have post pictures before i have two albums so i cant explain why is not allowing me to post new ones, its taking with the same digital camara nothing diffrent from my other albums, i really wanted to post my babies new pics with santa they look so cute but i have been trying for some time now and cant figure it out.

Where you upload the pictures, it will tell you the space remaining in that particular album, you may have to create a new album.

i have, well at least i think i did, i hit the add a album right.then i enter the title, upload them i have even tried to upload just one picture and it still gives me the same msg, i give up. but thanks for all your suggestions.

Sounds like it's time to go to the A team, I would PM admin, and tell them what you have done, maybe there is some glitch in the system. They don't always read these threads.

I just realized that I was answering two different people, and I'm not sure I've made myself clear. Where you upload the pictures it will tell you how much space is left in your total album size. Pictures limits for albums are:

"Maximum File Size per Picture 195.3 KB
Maximum Picture Dimensions 600 by 600 Pixels"

Six hundred pixels is only about 3 inches. I also noticed that you have a large number of albums, maybe you have too many, even though most don't have any pictures in them.

Thank you for trying to help me. My pictures are saved as jpeg which is why I am confused. I have never had trouble with the jpeg files being uploaded. For some reason, though, the file size on the picture is greater than 200KB. Maybe I should try to resize them again and see if that helps?

You can right click on a picture, and check "properties" and it will tell you how many KB it is. The pictures in the albums, have to be rather small 3x3 inches, which is smaller than the pictures uploaded to a thread.

the empty albums are new pictures i keeped trying to upload in diffrent ways which didn't work thats why they are empty i have to try and delete them.

Everytime you answer the other person i get an email like you had answered me thats why i responded, i will try to resize my pics dont know how but i will continue to play around with this hopefully i will get to post their santa pics before christmas

What does it say when you try to upload new pictures? I think we should ask admin about this, because I'm a not sure nondonating member has the same album size as donating members.
