Yorkietalk doesn't take "bmp" files, commonly called bitmap files. If you read the instructions by "manage attachments", it says it only takes:

"Valid file extensions: gif - jpeg - jpg & png files"

Bmp files take up too much space. So save in another type of file, for example jpeg, or jpg.

How do I show pics & captions to go vertically on a post? Whenever I attach pics, they show up at the bottom, horizontally & I'm not able to put captions directly next to them...

See what looks like a little paper clip above where you right you message, under the red X in picture?Image39.jpg

You can click on this to upload your pictures, and click on it again to attach the pictures and they will be attached within the body of the post.

HELP! I had a stationary photo of Sophie as my avatar. We bought Hazel so I wanted an animated avatar of both yorkies. I managed to download photoscape and make a animated avatar of both puppies and saved it to My Pictures but when I edited my avatar photo it only shows Hazel now and doesn't blink to Sophie. Where did I go wrong !

It has to be saved in a gif file; the avatar you are using now says a jpg file. Only the gif file, groups pictures together, yet keeps them separate. It also must be within size limits or yorkietalk automatically resizes them and turns them into a single file.

That message will come on if you pictures are too big. You need to resize them so that they are no larger than 200 kb, or about 700 pixels. Here's a site that resizes pictures: Resize Images online

The pictures you uploaded are so cute, but you don't have to make them that small to use here. They are only 200 x150 pixels, which is around 2 inches. You can use a picture that is 600 pixels, which is around 8 inches.
