				   | Logan doesn't like to eat dry dog food. Even when I moisten it, he eats hardly any of it all day. But when I bring out the wet canned food, he eats it. I tried mixing the wet and dry together, and he licks the wet off the dry and leaves the dry! Is it OK to just feed him the wet canned food, or does he need the dry food, too? |

				   | In my opinion I think wet food is so much better for them than kibble. Kibble is so dry and overprocessed and lacks moisture so they have to drink a lot more water to stay hydrated. Witht he canned food, it's a lot less processed and the moisture is good for them. Dry food really doesn't help with their teeth either (it would be like eating a cookie and expecting it to clean your teeth...it just gets gunky on your teeth...). Just make sure you choose a premium brand of canned food

				   | My vet says they need them both, especially the dry food. I don't give wet food everyday, but I do mix it in twice a week. Yorkies are so finicky when it comes to eating they pretty much do what they want. Your pup will eventually get hungry and will eat the food, trust me. Everyone here will tell you, we've all been thru it. You may have to change your pups dry food if he really just does not like it, good luck.

				   | He's been eating (well, barely) Solid Gold lamb and brown rice dry food. I added some Solid Gold canned ("for all life stages") tonight, and he seemed to like that. |

				   | The hard food is best for their teeth..yorkies are prone to have bad teeth..if he's a little pup, I would maybe mix a teaspoon of cottage cheese in with his food, they will eat when they get hungry..Ginger is 12 weeks, I leave her food down all day for her, in the morning, I put a little bit of water on it, then about a teaspoon of either cottage cheese or canned, mix it up and leave it, I will hear her in there munching on the hard..soft food tends to get in between their teeth is what the vet told me..I also give mine the greenies to help, and with the little one, I give her the greenie pieces(for puppies and dogs under 10 lbs) |

				   | Rickey and Noah eat Eukanuba dry. Call you Vet and get his advice on rather it is ok to feed them wet food instead of dry. I honestly don't know the answer. Hope all works out soon. Pepper |

So, if you want to feed a premium quality canned food all the time, that is fine. Regardless if you feed wet or dry, you should give your baby hard things (like beef soup bones) to chew and make sure you brush their teeth. | |

				   | The most important factor is the quality of the diet as opposed to the form it comes in. However if we were to compare a kibble and a canned food of the same quality then the canned would be better IMO as canned is far less processed. Kibble doesen't clean their teeth, if you ate nothing but cookies, would you still brush your teeth? |
