The hard food is best for their teeth..yorkies are prone to have bad teeth..if he's a little pup, I would maybe mix a teaspoon of cottage cheese in with his food, they will eat when they get hungry..Ginger is 12 weeks, I leave her food down all day for her, in the morning, I put a little bit of water on it, then about a teaspoon of either cottage cheese or canned, mix it up and leave it, I will hear her in there munching on the hard..soft food tends to get in between their teeth is what the vet told me..I also give mine the greenies to help, and with the little one, I give her the greenie pieces(for puppies and dogs under 10 lbs)
